BTW: when Morrisons offer finish, go to Netto. Their price is £5 per 1kg permanent.

I have been eating a lot of chicken lately and have noticed more supermarkets leaving the tendons in just to make up the weight, Asda is terrible for it. Morrisons and Iceland most of the time are ok but the other day after winning a voucher to spend in M&S I got their chicken and theirs was a massive difference but you do pay for it. Their chicken was on offer at £7.50 a kilo but normal price was around £13 a kilo and it wasnt organic.

Bargain, No morrisons near me but I'll deffinately go to my nearest one to pick up loads of these.
Chicken isn't expensive but can be costly when you need to eat 3-4 chicken breasts a day in your training regime. Hot from me

You don't NEED to eat it, you have chosen to eat it as your lifestyle choice.

If I said I NEED to drive an Aston Martin I doubt whether anyone would take me seriously. :whistling:

Maybe this training regime is required for a career choice rather than a lifestyle choice?

I agree with you, and I lol'd

Co-op regularly do offers on their chicken around this price and theirs is higher welfare. Obviously if you can't get to a co-op then that doesn't help but I don't buy sh*t chicken anymore.

Meat Nazi? Nice combination.

Just saying, buying chicken that has spent it's life in a cage, cramped with other chickens defecating on each other before being killed, water soaked in a big tumble machine (to bulk them up a bit) isn't my idea of a nice meal.

But hey, who am I to rock the boat? (apart from being a meat nazi!)

And who are you to tell people what to do? The only surprise in this thread was that it wasn't till page 2 that the judgmental free range/organic/veggie holier than thou brigade turned up.:whistling:

I personally wont buy it because the chickens haven't had a life, and won't have seen daylight in their short lives, but that's my choice.

Bravo, well said. It is your inalienable right to gorge yourself with rubbish. Don't let Meat Nazis tell you different

I witnessed a barrage of TFOA's (Two For One Addicts) and SOP's (Special Offer Puppets) at Morrisons just now - and no I don't usually shop there.

If some of these people spent more time reading the labels on the food than the 'Special Offer' tags, maybe there wouldn't be a place for battery farmed chickens.

Then again, maybe then can't tell the difference.

A matter of taste me thinks.

Co-op chicken is still caged - not a huge leap in welfare standards like the Co-op want you to think.

Bargain.

So, just to be clear, you don't like special offers and you don't like battery farmed chicken?

I like special offers on good food. Not that hard to understand is it?

I would return the jog on comment, however I am not sure if you're healthy enough to do so!

I always use my butcher. You can have a conversation with them and ask where the meat has come from.

That would be ridiculous. The mainstream supermarkets have simultaneously overpriced meat AND dropped the average quality over the years. So it comes as a pleasant surprise to many people that a local butcher can often beat supermarket prices and can certainly exceed supermarket quality.
