CLTK46 not working for £5 off

CLTK46 works

Not a bad price for a compact with a proper Li-ion battery but not really 'half price' of course. You can do better at around this price - I'd look at Panasonic first (build quality, etc), but this one deserves a hot(ish) vote.

Can you get a Panasonic camera with similar specs for this price? Voted hot from me.

isnt there an offer on spend 50 quid get a 1000 points??? ooopps read the nfo ^^^^^^

By spending another £10.01 you can use a 1000 points with £100 code and get £30 worth of points in total with the website offer at the moment, so effectively £60 for the camera, which I think is a bargain for a first camera for my 13 year old daughter.

I'm not going to vote either way but I think I saw this for 89 Euros on pixmania site.

IMHO specs (with digi cameras) are often deeply misleading.

It's all about the lens.
**** in **** out, as they say, and it doesn't matter how many megapixels the sensor has if the lens is poor.

Panasonics with a Leica lens are very hard to beat., regardless of what the badges say about how many megapixels etc.

Yes you can. Probably get 4x optical zoom too.

I voted this one hot but just think you can do better.

Absolutely agree. Panasonic / Leica branded lenses are excellent.

Too many megapixels can adversely affect picture quality in this size camera (noise due to small sensor). There's a marketing race on but in fact 8MP is plenty for virtually any normal use (including significant enlargements).

That doesn't explain how you get £30 worth of points by spending £100. It does mention splitting the order in to two but then you're not spending £100 :?

Anyway, this isn't reviewed anywhere online which is not normal for a camera. I would suggest steering well clear of this deal.

Well there's a strong opinion based on little evidence!

Not difficult to work out if you try it:

- 1000 points for spending £100 normally
- extra 500 points per £50 spend on site at moment
- extra 1000 points for a £100 spend from the code I posted

And looking on the Fujifilm website it is obvious that they tend to do the same or similar camera under different numbers for different retailers, so this is very similar to the J28 and J30. Reviews for these say it is a good budget model, and that's based on a higher price than £60.

I am ridiculously tempted....my panasonic digicam has decided to give up, did get a cheapy replacement but it's not anywhere near as good and it really shows.

Want to try this one...but reluctant in case it's another dud

It'll be OK but stick with Panasonic for the best pics.

 Nice one! Got this for my sis-in-law (on her Advantage card!)...3,016 POINTS added!!! Worth £30.16! All i did was oreder the J29 at £89.99 with two of the 2GB memory cards at £7.49 each....total £104.97....less "£30.16 points"...£74.81 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (2,016 automatic points...use PROMO CODE CLTK45...get 1,000 points extra!!!) Bargain.....oh, yes, i did go into Boots store and try it out first & it looks good (compared to Comet's pink J28, same spec., at £159). :gift: :santa: thanx for your's and Fiona123's (poster) help...Heat added!!!!!

They also had a Samsung PL57 on the shelves at my local Boots, £89 IIRC.

I cannot find reviews of this camera but I haven't looked that hard.

Plus a Casio one, again £100 off was £2xx blah blah.

So instead of "recommended retail prices", they just initially sell things for exorbitant prices then trick people into thinking it's an incredible bargain when they slash it.

Yes, very true but it seems to work as people are sheep, even those who use HUKD. Just look at what happened to that very ordinary Canon camera recently when Argos claimed it was 'half price'.
