Why not just use a pound coin?

Why not just use a pound coin?

I never carry cash, i use card only. So put one of these on my keys

"Why not just use a pound coin?"

Because it's difficult to attach one to your keyring without drilling a hole through it.

seller has pretty bad feedback

good price, but think post will be deleted due to only 8k sales, think HUKD is 15k

What "basic" vending machines are we talking about? Like those gate things without sophisticated electronics?!

that's why ebay selling is so risky. It's full of so many novices.

Well I think these are genuinely useful items. It can be so frustrating when you need a pound coin for a shopping trolley or a locker and you don't have one in your pocket. My mum has had one of these for years and she uses it all the time. There are plenty of honest and legal uses for these and, in reality, probably very few dishonest ones. I'm sure 99% of machines that take pound coins as payment (as opposed to using them as a returnable deposit) will be sophisticated enough to reject these.

I've ordered a set and think they'll make excellent stocking fillers at Christmas.

I'm glad I'm not on your Christmas list, lol.

Thanks OP. Was tempted - but Seller's feedback put me off ( 68 neutral & 58 negative in 6 months whispers 'avoid' to me)

:-)

Fantastic

Use one of these and when you see someone heading to collect a trolley with a pound coin, swap your trolley for their pound. Only when they return the trolley and see you have fobbed them off with a metal coin, you will be a pound to the better and 5 miles down the motorway.

Profit..

I clearly underestimated the deviousness of my fellow HUKDers!

Do they work in Tesco Self-Serve Checkouts ;-)
