12 x 330ml bottles of Peroni beer @ Sainsburys instore - £8

The Sainsbury's local in Corstorphine has the 12 pack of 330ml bottles of Peroni reduced to £8. The Sainsbury's website has this at £14.99. £8 is incredibly cheap for Peroni which is a decent 'premium' beer.

The 12 pack is £12.99 in Tesco and 10 pack is £10.50 in Asda so a good saving to be had.

I haven't checked any other stores, so have no idea if this is national or not.

Good deal. Will deffo pick some up (if there's any left by the time I get there!). Thanks.

Guessing it could be store specific?? I know the Locals and the Supermarkets quite often have different prices! Hopefully my local will have some at that price!

There was 3 or 4 cases left when I was in about an hour ago.

Hot!

Good deal. Peroni is marketed well in the Uk. The Italians view it as we would Carling for example.

I work at my local. these are selling fast

Was in Iceland yesterday and noticed they were selling 4 bottles of Peroni with a free Peroni Pint Glass for £3.50. Thought that was a decent deal.

£10.50 for 12 bottles and 3 branded glasses is also a good deal. You should post it as a separate to give people a heads up.

yep. My old boss was Italian and when we took him to a decent restaurant in Leeds and he saw they served Peroni as a premium beer he laughed. He said it's a cheap beer in Italy and not liked much

Where did all these geese come from?

It seems very inconsistent in its brew. Sometimes lovely, but frequently has a very rough edge. Even for bottles purchased a week apart in the same supermarket.

I think it tastes better than British lagers at least. Which Italian beers did your Italian boss recommend?

Still £14.99 in Carlisle
But did pick up 20 bottles of Becks for £10.00

All full price in the 3 locals that i tried.

Bloody store specific AGAIN......:(

Its FAR better than Carling. Even Becks (the GERMAN brewed one) isn't in Peroni's class.

Cold! The beer

It's very cheap in Italy (figures really).

Yeah. Was in Rome with my wife for 5 days, and the 660ml bottles were the equivalent of £1.25 - £1.30 at the nearby Spa shop.

That's not that cheap. This deal is equivalent to £1.33 for 660ml.

BTW is a Spa shop the Italian equivalent of Spar?

Wish we knew what Nastro Azzurro means. Guess we'll never know.

It means blue ribbon

Wonder what the Italians think of carling if they think Peroni is pants. Draught Peroni is one of the nicest beers IMO

mmm, nice.

Have been buying the 12 330ml bottles of Staropramen £8 from Morrisons recently, before that the 12 330ml bottles Tiger Beer £9 Morrisons

Alas we'll never know.

cold.........wasted journey in swindon

14.99 in Craigavon. Cold

This is the maximum you want to pay for a massively over rated beer.

As has been said, it's at best Carling (or Fosters) standard, but the price it is in a boozer is just a joke.

If you think this is equivalent to Carling then clearly you've never drunk either beer. :-|

Yeah not national, the 'while stocks last' thing seems to be a store specific thing they put up, very occasionally echoed in other stores if they want to get rid of a product. Good deal for the lucky few though

I was in Italy this week and bought large bottles of Peroni (1L) for 85 cents ... in the City bars in Glasgow a pint of it will set you back £5 ... rip off Britain indeed

I think the comment from Guy H was a little harsh. Italians don't drink beer in the same way as the English do, the culture is different, and Peroni is an extremely popular lager in Italy, more common in the majority of places than any other brand. Italians do like to look exotic in front of each other though, and you'd spot a lot of German and Dutch beers knocking about. There are also some good micro breweries around, and many prefer local produce.

"...Peroni which is a decent 'premium' beer."

Its lager.

Carling/Fosters/Carlsberg/Stella/Peroni/Becks/ ...

All the same.
All taste basically the same as this: http://images4.mysupermarket.co.uk/Products_1000/74/009974.jpg?v=1

Certainly a cold pint is enjoyable on a hot day, but I'd never pay more than 50p/can or bottle.

Edit: Peroni Gran Reserva could get away with calling itself a premium beer, but this is laughable!
