Try the Asian supermarkets if you’ve got one anywhere near you. These and other tinned products are much cheaper. Have a look and you’ll be surprised at the variety and competitive pricing.

Voted Hot Thanks!!

KTC are a great brand especially for a lot of Asian foods.

This is a great price at 33p a tin if you shop at Sainsbury's. Lidl and Aldi also sell tins of chickpeas at 33p per single tin if you didn't want to buy a crate of 12 at a time.

What makes you say that you making a big load of houmous or something?

Anyway decent product if you can find these, I tend to find it more difficult to find these now and they are better as they don't have loads of added ingredients unlike some heat added op
voted hot for the price, although personally I think chick peas are revolting.
Chicks digs peas i heard

or get a large bag of dried chickpeas (from an Asian supermarket) and soak them yourself - or you can put them in a slow-cooker or speedup the process in a pressure cooker (Instant Pot). I find dried chickpeas have a nuttier flavour and nicer texture - no added salt either

What we want to know is the price per pea.

A penny I think

The chick pea of this brand is good, some of the other KTC products need a lot of rinsing. Regarding shortages, I know there was a large shortage most of this year. Mix that with the recall of most of the hummus over the past week and perhaps prices will go up.
Good way of prepping for the apocalypse that Brexit / No Brexit will / will not bring.
Great for the foodbank if anybody is feeling generous. We are always being asked for chick peas
I generally stock up during Ramadan when it's 4 for £1.
