Don't know how good the cell is in these or are they safe to be left charging your gadget unsupervised but for the pound these power banks seem like a bargain.
Exact design cases (with no cell) are sold on eBay for a bit more money and have a simple spring "pop in" battery type of build, so if the cell is easily replaceable then it is even a better buy.
Don't need one so did not buy one, but maybe someone else has experience with these - please post a comment if you do!

Enough to give you power for a few phone calls in an emergency. Have a couple myself for long days out. It's a quid for goodness sake, what are people expecting. These are to get you out if the sh*t

Been there for a while they are decent especially for a £1 come in very handy, like when i had a power cut i found myself using, car journeys would also be good to keep in glovebox. They perform well enough for a £1. Nice deal for people who didn't know.

If you have a random power cut, you will have to hope the Powerbank sitting in your glove box has been regularly charged in anticipation of this incident

Left charging unsupervised? They'll charge for like 15 minutes and die. 1200mah is nothing

Maybe i got it mixed up with one free from screw fix but i hadn't charged it at all aha for at least 2-3 months had a power cut and it prolonged my battery so i could at least use for a while to make needed call etc. Was just handy obviously though might be a good idea to hookup to car stereo usb or cigarette lighter every so often so the battery does stand up.
I don't think there brilliant just handy for a £1, obviously if more...

They make cheap torch batteries if you've got a torch that takes 18650's. Not a huge capacity obviously, but ok for having a few spares. Don't go dismantling them if you don't know what you're doing though, unless they do just pop out.
