had my £15 b&q value angle grinder 4 years now and still going strong. its nothing to do with quality to be fair its how its used and nobody is quick to say they misused an item. its always the machines or companys fault nowadays.

I note that it doesn't come with a cutting disk. Are these proprietary or will any manufacturers disk do?

I think any bits that are for a 125mm fit will work. On the same page they also sell different cutting disks etc too.

Ok many thanks. I reckon at 1200 watts it should be pretty powerful.

if this is anything like the lidl Parkside alternative then this is a steal! love mine. god bless lidl and aldi diy events!

Do I go and buy one on Sunday or do I risk waiting a couple of weeks and pick one up for £10 when they reduce unsold stock.
Accessories available https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sun-23-aug/product-detail/ps/p/angle-grinder-accessories/

125mm or 5" is a decent size for a grinder usually 115mm or 4"

Maybe it's because I don't get the chance to visit Aldi too often, but I never see any of these special buys reduced at a later date.
