Incredible price. Love mine, had a few years.l now. You'll not use a normal circular saw again.

This is probably a local only deal, At Lidl New Oscott branch (near beggars bush pub, Birmingham)

Bargain if you can get one. Buy the Evolution 2400mm track with it (best price ever on Amazon at the moment) and you won’t go wrong. Get a decent blade (I have a Freud blade to replace the stock one) and you’ve got a cracking track saw.

Is it the aldi plunge saw that has its own own track design? This saw will fit most other tracks?

As far as I know it’s just Dewalt that uses its own track design. You can normally use most track saws with other branded tracks like Makita, Titan, Evolution, Tritan etc. Not 100% sure on the ALDI (Scheppach) track saw though.

Review on YouTube where they mentioned either lidl or aldi track is slightly smaller so won't fit other plunge saws... It's the aldi if I have the correct video below... Guess lidl is different?

Ahhh ok cool. I can certainly vouch for the Lidl (Parkside) track saw as I have it on Evolution rails and used it on Makita rails

I've got the Lidl Parkside track saw and have a Festool track extension (it was a purchased very cheap on Amazon warehouse deals with 20% off). They fit together fine.

Not a tool I use very often, but it's damn useful when you do need it. e.g. trimming doors, or cutting sheet material down to size.
Bargain at this price.

Why not just buy one of these?

I wouldn’t because a track saw guide has the rubber splinter guard to support the edge of your work piece to give you a much better quality of cut and reduce splintering. That’s my preference of course and there’s nothing to say you can’t use a guide like that.

My pleasure. I did a lot of research into the subject prior to buying mine. Using it first hand I can vouch that it definitely improves the quality of cut
what is the length of the track that comes with it as standard?

2 x 700mm tracks that you join together.
For spare track, You can call the Lidl customer service number who will put you through to Kompernass who manufacture this saw.
I brought last year to more lengths of track and it cost about £25 delivered from Germany, ish.

This or has come up on a couple threads in previous years on hot UK deals I would recommend searching and reading through the comments as lots of people have added very good information in the past.

Were they 700mm ones again? If so it would be more tempting to just buy two track saws for 80 and have a spare saw. Then would just need to make one joining bar.

Ah never considered that!

hotukdeals.com/dea…781

According to my own writing the track cost £17... So with your option - £23 for a spare saw.
You’ll need to buy another connector bar to connect the two (now) 1400mm tracks together which is additional expense. Factor in the inaccuracies of the 4 x 700mm tracks joined together you’re better off getting 2 x 1400mm tracks. Again, I speak from experience as I bought the additional tracks from Kompernass and the difference between tracks is noticeable. Especially the build quality. I had to buy a new splinter guard for mine because the new one was cut terribly short in the factory (yet more money).
Thanks just bought one, there were 3 left at store.
