Thanks. OP, Looks like the switching season is open again!
Unfortunately, I can't do this one, as I did the Nat west one recently!

If you meet the conditions for this offer, we’ll pay £125 into your eligible current account by 8 February 2019, but please note:
If you close your eligible current account before this date, then the £125 won’t be paid. • You won’t be eligible for this offer if you’ve already taken advantage of a cash offer from RBS and/or National Westminster Bank Plc (NW) between October 2017 and October 2018 for (i) opening a new current account and switching to RBS/NW or (ii) upgrading your existing RBS/NW current account. • Joint accounts will only be eligible for one payment.
Darn, I did the Natwest one too - must check the dates though. I'll soon be eligible for switching back to Nationwide again
Any way one could check all account opening dates ? From Experian like sites
If you have internet banking just go back to the earliest transaction date.

I use noddle, and that tells you the date accounts were opened.

Looks like it's switch number four for this year coming up!!
Wonder if they would they know if you’ve already used the NatWest offer but you switched over using a non rbs account? Might try anyway

I was thinking the same ,using my m&s account that has matured .
Is there a minimum monthly deposit?
Thanks for posting, OP, appreciated. I'll have a crack at it . . . . . and think of 'Fred The Shred'. Also, it appears that direct debits are not a requirement in the new RBS account to qualify for the £125.

Time to switch from First Direct.
Do you physically have to pay in an extra £1500 or when you transfer and open the account if its already at £1500 does that cover it ??
Well, that was the easiest £125 I've ever earned. Ten minutes online. Job done. Fingers crossed I actually get to see the £125 in Feb 2019, as RBS state. Again, many thanks OP. Appreciated.
Looks nice.

All I can offer in reply, is to quote what the RBS T's & C's state>>>
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You'll need to pay in at least £1,500 and log in to online or mobile banking by 7th of January 2019, we'll then pay the £125 by 8th of February.

I'm tempted to switch from them too. They've been pretty good with no issues, but there's no loyalty for staying.
The £1,500 can be paid into your account as one payment or multiple smaller payments, but the total amount must be at least £1,500 before 3rd December

They didn't give me the bonus even though I asked to switch, and then because 30 days passed I wasn't then classes as a new customer. They also messed up my regular saver and 'forgot' to add interest for the first 3 months. No apology from them either, so can't wait to leave now regular saver has finished
Stupid question but i currently have a natwest student account that i have had a number of years. Would switching to this qualify for the bonus?
So am I right in thinking that I - having been with the NatWest for my entire life - could get a free £125 for switching my account to RBS?
If you're already a Natwest Reward Customer, can you switch to a new Natwest Reward account and still earn the £125 bonus?

Exactly what I'm trying to find out. My reading of this is yes - provided you've not taken a cash bonus to join NatWest before.

Yikes, doesn't look good. Hopefully it works out this time.
Dam knew I should of waited , just yesterday went for the £75 Cashback with HSBC
Would this work for joint accounts?
Just put an application through. Verified identity online using passport and debit card. Got my account details. Switch date set for 15th Oct week commencing. Let's see how that goes. Thanks OP.

RBS in my experience were really good , They paid the incentive almost two weeks earlier than expected on both our accounts recently

Don't think so. NatWest are running the same offer and are saying on their website:

"This offer is available to new and existing customers. Just use the Current Account Switch Service to close your current account held elsewhere and switch to us before 3rd December. Offer available online and in branch.

You'll need to pay in at least £1,500 and log in to Online or Mobile Banking by 7th January 2019. We'll then pay the £125 by 8th February."

I read that as saying that you can go from NatWest to RBS and take the bonus (which I think I will do), or RBS to NatWest, but not NatWest reward to Natwest Reward.
Does your old account needs to be closed or can you keep it once you switch
Can you switch from starling account? Has anyone tried that? I have a starling account that I don’t use much. Thanks
Just a heads up if you are switching away from First Direct and have paid in more than £1,000 then I think you could get leaving bonus. I'm not 100% sure of the criteria to get that.
Hot. Thanks op

All gone through, will just have to see how quick they pay out now... Then find the next one to switch!

I'll be running out of banks soon!
Any idea what their application is like for proving ID? Natwest were a pain as didn't have passport or driving licence so never managed to switch on the last offer
Can you transfer in and out to reach 1500 or has to be a total of 1500 with no outs?

I think it's about a year after account closure and I don't believe it excludes you if you have switched before. The person who refers you gets £100 and you get £100.

I popped into my local branch yesterday and they confirmed that you couldn't switch from Natwest Reward to Natwest Reward. It's a good account (which is why I already have one) but it's a shame that I can't get the bonus. Never mind. Hope lots of other people manage to get it and enjoy the return on your direct debits.

You ask an interesting question. The RBS T's & C's make no mention of how long the £1.5k should remain in the account, nor whether part deposits can be made and withdrawn before the incentive £125 is handed over. However, the RBS blurb unequivocally states>>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The £1,500 can be paid into your account as one payment or multiple smaller payments, but the total amount must be at least £1,500 before 3rd December.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, to be on the safe side, I think it's best to see that £1.5k is deposited in the RBS account, in full, before 3rd December, and that the £1.5k remains in the account (until the £125 incentive payment is made some time in February). By doing that, you remove any possible loophole that RBS could exploit to renege on handing over the incentive payment.
