Huge bags (12.5kg) of unwashed potatoes for only £2.00, usually £7.50. The weight is the equivalent to a small child.

Works out at 16p per Kg.

Offer is running until 30th November.

They did this a couple of times before and lasted me for ages

Only better because you can eat a sack of potatoes.

I don't think I've ever seen this at £7.50 - it's always reduced to £2 or £3 at High Wycombe Morrisons. Though in HW I guess they wouldn't know what to do with an unwashed potato.

15 years ago maybe, you'll need a couple of bags to match one of today's kids...

Heat added. Sure they'll come in handy for those on low budget with big families. Great find :-)

Got these when offer was on last time. Thanks for sharing will buy again. Got staff discount card so will be £1.80. No I don't work at Morrisons my friend does!

fecking miles away to my local morrissons. Will have to stick with my local grocery which is £3.99/10kg bag washed. Still not bad. Check your local grocery.

Also I'd love to hear how long these supermarket potatoes last, as I've had terrible problems with Lidl ones. Lidl ones lasted about a week.

Unwashed potatoes will last way longer than washed. Of course that doesn't mean that the unwashed ones haven't sat around for a couple of months already.

Aye. I expect at least a couple of months out of potatoes to be honest, washed or unwashed before they start going quite soft.

Too right they could have sat around for months. That's one of the big problems with buying them in my opinion, you just don't know. And that's one of the reasons why it really helps to get to know your local grocer as you'll get a pretty good idea as to how fresh they really are.

Almost 2 stone 28 lb GOOD value for a couple of quid i've paid £1.25 for 3kg in Bradford. And 1 of your 5 a day. NICE DEAL onlinegaer001
Thank for the Deal and your time for finding it

These are always 3.49 in Basingstoke and great quality

So these could be stored & then planted next May.
Store in a frost free area.

I hope this thread continues to attract attention,
If so then the average quality of comments on other threads will be sharply improved

Hope it is not the same trick as last one, most of it gone in the bin!!

These have been £3.49 at my local branch for ages. I always look at the variety on the label Harmony & Melody are absolute rubbish ( and it usually is this variety on these bags) even at £2.00 , but if you can drop on an Estima or I have occasionally found Maris piper they are well worth having.

Totally agree. They are never the best varieties in these bags but tend to be the mediocre 'all rounders' and although unwashed do usually keep longer that's offset by the fact that these have been kept too long already.

This price at thousands of Farm shops all over the country everyday.

forget the xbox...buy the kids a dirty great bag of potatoes to keep them occupied. Enjoy endless potato printing, potato head making and variuos potato art games - summers were endless when we were kids and I suspect this may be why ;-)

good for vodka too i spose

Kept at the right temp and humidity potatoes whether washed or unwashed will keep well, kept in to much heat will make them go soft early, the same as most fruit and vegetables.

Well unless theyve been in the deep freeze for the last year or so (_;)

THATS A GREAT DEAL!!
