Unfortunately NO FARM near by me in LONDON
I Wouldn't bother with Morrisons supermarket potatoes, either half the sack is golf ball sized spuds, which are inpossible to peel,or they are bruised ,black, damaged or going green, don't bother as half of them will end up in the green bin or garden waste.
12.5 kg OMG ... i can't lift that ... will have to get the missus to go get'em

5 quid at my local farm shop, Also, Some people don't realise there are more farm shops about than they may think, I have seen people in my Local Morrisons buying these when there is the farm shop a mile or so up the road.

And agree with jimmiedodger, I did have a bag once, Like a bag of golf balls.
That is lunch sorted for the month of November...
are these the ones they had for £4 last week? Or are these bigger bags?
A couple of years ago when they were doing the bags for £2 they were decent but agree with others, half the bag are really small now. Check your local greengrocer if you don't have a farm shop local, my local ones do 7.5kg bags for £1.99/2.39, and usually have different varieties, Maris Piper quite often there, King Edwards now and then and the usual Nectar etc.
The winter crops should be in place at all supermarkets by now, look out for stickers on the bags saying new crop
But the major supermarkets are still trying to sell off their older stock hence the lower prices, which does not help online - home delivery buyers,as these are always sent to these customers,i wouldn't be tempted to buy these, look them over on delivery ,if they are not up to your standards reject them and send them back with the delivery driver for a refund.

If you can manage to buy from your local farmer or farm shop,
Then you will be getting better Quality potatoes.

The best potatoes i have found at the moment are from Sainsburys they being maris pipers & king edwards, they are half decent sized,
The maris pipers are flowery and good for mashing & have a good taste.
The king edwards potatoes are good for roasting & also tasty.
£6 for whites, £7 for reds at our local farm. Rather support the locals than Morribobs but if you not got any near....
Even delivered for an extra £1
