I have one had it about 2 years its soooo much easier to clean than my oven and was great when I had my son it was a god send as didn't have to worry about dinner over cooking whilst I was up and down, as you program temp and time and it turns off at the end of the set time we also bought one for my nan about 3-4 years ago and since she has had it she has only used her oven to toast bread sounds strange but she doesnt like gadgets she has an oven and the halogen oven no other kitchen devices she raved about it that much that had to buy one myself bought both of them at costco on similar offer

is it an ongoing offer or coming up? doesnt seem to be in the current warehouse offers brochure

Love my oven use it every day, only the two of us so saves putting the main oven on.

paid £50 for my jml one 10 years ago still going strong
cooks really well use it most days
saves money

thank you! worth waiting a week for! heat added.

Aldi had these for £30 last yr (got one) and my local store still had one in reduced by a fiver, so check Aldi out.

Amazon also on for £30. youtu.be/LJK…Hdw

IIRC the Aldi one comes with a 3 year warranty too.

I have this and been using it everyday for over a year and has not missed a beat. Best roasties and chips ever and so so fast.

I got one from my local Aldi for £19.99, not overly impressed so far, certainly wouldn't have liked to have paid more.

looks like the one I have from costco, comes with an extender ring if so. careful wiping the top as those numbers come straight off...it's actually been relegated to a cupboard recently as I'm now bored of it after a couple of years usage.

Only a couple of years of usage, definitely sounds like a gimmick people will quickly get tired with... not worth the risk.

In seriousness, I have one of these, bought it over the summer last year and think it's fantastic. Saves putting the oven on for just one person, the energy savings alone make it worth it for me. However in addition I think it does a better job than the oven for cooking a number of things, especially frozen battered fish, or other such things; really crisps the coating (oven chips are good too)

This one is a bit small but I think Halogen ovens are great so still voted hot.

I've bought one couple of years ago, looking at this post just made me remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sitting on the shelf since I bought it oO

I've got one which my cousin bought for me. I love it. I don't have a toaster - use this oven as toaster, chips, grill & also to reheat food. Must have in the kitchen.

Grantham Aldi had these in 2 weeks ago for £12.99

7 hours (or more) on lowest setting for decent home made biltong/chilli bites/beef jerky at about a quarter of the price you'd pay online or at a local butcher.

Does this actually save much energy compared to a conventional oven? I've been tempted for a while now but not yet convinced...

Often thought about getting one of these, how do you know the correct timings for foods obviously with a gas or electric oven it would give a gas mark or temp and advise how many minutes, for instance if my son wanted sausage and chips could I cook everything together or do you place them in at differing times and how would you know how hot and how long for?

Thanks for the info but probably not that many people reading this are near Grantham and even fewer people are living 2 weeks in the past.

I tend to knock 10-20 degrees off the recommended temperature for a fan oven and also a few minutes. If you cook mixed food together you can put the items that need the most heat at the top of a 2 tier halogen oven (this isn't one of them) but obviously if what your cooking has a big variance in cooking temperatures you'll have to cook them separately.

For different cooking times it's just the same principle as any cooker. You put the longest ones in first and add the later ones as appropriate.

I would recommend a halogen oven but I would say the larger ones are a better buy.
