Looks like it includes 2 headlight bulbs - you can choose H1, H4 or H7 fittings and 4 other assorted bulbs

Paid £10 for 2 H4 bulbs from an accessory shop month or so ago - so it looks like a good deal....

These will also fit motorbikes (mine takes a H4) but you may want to go for some super bright ones if you have a motorbike (but those tend to cost £14 each)

sorry to sound dumb but whats the difference between H1, H4 or H7 ?? I am needing a front headlight bulb??

I have a Vauxhall Astra and I'm pretty sure when I last got bulbs, main was H4 and my Dipped was H7... Yeah... I think that's the right way around!

It refers to the design of the bulb, I.E. the shape and the type of prongs on the back. Your handbook should tell you which type you need. If you can't find it then go into halfords and once you've picked your jaw off the floor when you see their prices for bulbs:w00t:, look up the flipchart attached to the shelf and see every bulb needed for your car. Then go to lidl.

Great price, thanks

Poundland occasionally have the H4 kit for, er, £1, although the Lidl version packaging looks more substantial. Still, we're buying for the bulbs, not the packaging.
Some Poundland stores currently have H4 and H7 individual bulbs stocked. Current ones are the (alleged) 50% brighter Xenon versions, available in hi-brite white (sic) or blue tint.

There was a post a while back about the poundland bulbs and I have heard about them but I think this is better.

The first bulb went within a month and the second was down to 50% brightness within 6 weeks and had to be replaced. On a bit of a tangent, I also would not recommend ANY poundland bulbs. The last one I put in broke my light fitting. The glass part fell off, leaving the bayonet fitting in the light. Didn't fancy poking around there with a screwdriver to get it out, especially since the element was flapping around inside the metal housing. Dangerous or what! So, buy poundland stuff at your peril, folks.IMHO, that is...

Some countries require you to carry replacement bulbs so its handy to have these kits.

I think the difference between H7 and H4 (I could be wrong) is the H4 also has dipped in the same bulb whereas H7 is for cars which have a seperate bulb for dipped.

hi, thanks for all your answers. Will have a rip to halfords later. ta

This site should tell what bulbs you need for your car
autobulbsdirect.co.uk/

Heat & Rep added. Thanks was going to buy a standard h7 headlight from my local for £6.

Bought a couple of these instead - PLEASE note they are 30% BRIGHTER as it says on the back. Made a difference compared to my old one, replaced both in the end :)-

Very happy also used the brake light as that was gone. Superb deal. for 2 h7 (they had others) brake bulb 2 filament + 1 filament, a fuse don't know what thats for & a small side light me thinks.

Make NARVA - Germany.

I have voted cold, I tell you why, because other day I went into morrisons garage to buy a main headlight bulb for my car, it was £4 quid, but right next to it was a bulb kit badged up by the AA with 20 different bulbs inside it, you had one for just about everything, they have to be decent ones if the AA put thier name to it, so i just bought a pack of them instead, comes in a plastic case, all for just £5.98, yes £1.98 more than the cost of the single bulb on display which i needed. I fitted it in my car and it is brilliant and looks better and stronger in design than some of the bosch single bulbs i have been buying from halfords

Be warned if you buy the super +50% or +80% headlight bulbs they do not last as long as normal ones. I got pulled over 2 weeks ago because I had a headlight bulb blown (it was only 10 months old and the previous one lasted about the same length of time.) That said I have found great deals on consumabulbs.com
You can also get a list of bulbs your car requires from this site and P&P is free.

Its the headlight bulbs that cost the most and you get 2 in this kit.....and your kit cost £2 more than this one.

You get what you pay for with headlight bulbs. If you live in town and never really need to illuminate the road then fair enough. OK as an "emergency" kit though.

If you are going abroad it's a legal requirement to be carrying one of these kits and at this price it's a bargain.

hot from me

Certainly won't be voting it cold because I think the AA would never lie to us a bout the quality of their stuff :-D
