this was posted about a week ago as being in sainsburys, now also in TESCO, the pos label isnt in a higlighted yellow label, so it isnt on offer(this must be the normal price???) or could be end of line??? they do have on offer 8 bottles for £6.50 (2 x 4 packs) but for 4 bottles extra for £1.62 its a bargain

Heat added --great beer , thanks for this--you'd pay at least 2 quid for a bottle in a boozer----although in the Czech republic its about even .....best beer on the planet

i have to admit that this beer is great....and surprisingly i dont seem to get a hang over when i drink it not like other branded beers.......pricey but good...

Got 48 bottles chilling, it is so nice

In relation to the OP's speculation about whether this is the normal price, I would say that it's more to do with Tesco price matching Sainsbury's.

They seem to pick on certain Sainsbury's special offers and make their price exactly the same. They did this with the 750ml bottles of Leffe and Hoegaarden, making their price £2.19 to match Sainsbury's. This was also not advertised as any sort of an offer, but it was £1.14 off the normal price and indeed these bottles are now back up to £3.33 in Tesco.

"Old Spring"

Staropramen is a very good ležák. Not my kind of drink If I ever drink this kind of beer than I can happily drink this.

Even though Staropramen is owned by the MASSIVE Anheuser-Busch InBev, a Belgian brewing giant, they still brew and export from Smíchov, Prague. Anyone who likes this should try the Černý and granát.

In fact, go to Prague for a weekend. It's brilliant.

i liked gambrinus but you cant get it here

Kozel Dark for me but this is a nice hoppy czech larger.

and youll pay more than £2 for it in a pub :whistling:
