12x Monster Hydro Energy Drink £1.16 @ Costco Croydon possible glitch

In Costco they are selling 12x Monster Hydro Energy Drinks for £1.16 Inc VAT. The lady at the til was speaking to the customer Infront of me and said she thought that they were only meant to reduce it by £1.16 but made it that price instead by accident. Needless to say I went back about bought 10 packs.

The had 'Mean Green' flavour and 'tropical thunder' flavour.

Not sure if national. This was the Croydon store.

The date Best before date is 07/2018

97p? End of line stock.most stuff ending in 7 means reduced and normally discontinued

You'd need a van to clear the shelf - There were 2 pallets worth.

I'm going to take most of mine to my local food bank. I really don't need to be drinking all that extra sugar and is something different from the usual cheap juices they get there, even though these are probably less healthy

They were giving these out free from a monster promotion van in Southampton about 3 months ago.

The stuff tastes like someone flushed empty monster cans and bottled the water coming out. I wouldn't want them if i got payed to poison myself with them.

Even though it clearly isn’t to everyones taste (let’s face it nothing is) and it could just be specific to the Croydon store, have some heat for a good find. As mentioned the 7 at the end means they are discontinuing the line in the store. Enjoy

Not a glitch, anything ending with '7' is either reduced or discontinued. Most likely the latter, as they don't sell as much.
