These deals are annoying. They pop up and i think what great deal then realise its for another country. Not worth all the hassle to save a few quid and i think it involves setting primary ps4's which i already do with another ps4 and vice versa to buy digital.

These responses are annoying when you haven’t taken the time to understand how it works. The setting of the console to primary on the Asia account has no bearing on your UK account primary settings and vice versa.

There’s deals on here for the UK sub at £37 for 12 months.
Not good for those who don't have credit

Can be easily topped up, non-issue to be honest.

Great so i can spend all that time setting up an account in a different country for £30ish to save a couple of quid and then get completely different ps+ games to my friends, and also lose access to all the years of ps+ games i originally had and also spend more time messing about with my vita ps+ games.

There are people on here like myself that purchase ps plus purely for the online play, don’t rely on paid subscriptions to build our (‘free’) game collections thereby feeling contractually obliged to continue the subscription, or share our collections/accounts with others. Whilst your point is valid given your individual circumstances, this remains a good deal

This deal obviously isn't for you. However for other people who don't use the Vita for PS+ and don't have a backlog of UK PS+ games, this is a very good deal. It really doesn't take that long to set up a new account either.
Fully accept that this benefit some. Was merely making a comment from my perspective.
It’s hilarious (or maybe unfortunate, depending on your point of view) that the deal title - viewed on iPhone Safari - chops off the word ‘Singapore’
Gotta love how Xbox Live is Region Free - no hoops to jump through :

I totally agree. It's ballache I'm unwilling to endure

I don't think you can download games off the us store account with an English account unless you have a VPN?
After 13 months you lose access to the games unless you resubscribe with Singapore's PSN.
Not for everyone, I personally couldn't be bothered to go through the steps, but over a year's worth of online for around £25 is good going so heat from me

I don't think it's a coincidence, check back on any recent Asian/Indonesian deal and it's the last word of the title. I'd be much happier if when these regional deals were posted we had a standard, such as starting the title with [UK], [USA], [CAN], [IND] etc. I've got accounts for most regions, but I also keep my eyes open for deals for mates who aren't as keen doing the multiple accounts thing, would be nice to tell at a glance if it's relevant for them.
I am wondering if this is a deal or something verging on the illegal / unethical as you are purposefully circumventing the suppliers purpose of sales. There may be questions as to why Sony have these distinct markets - but they are distinct and just because you can do something - doesn't mean you should....

I don’t think there’s any intentional malice here, it’s just that HUKD recently shortened the portion of the deal title that’s visible. I’ve been caught out a few times because there’s been a sneaky “used” or “Prime exclusive” tacked onto the end of something.

You’re right though, an Editor should be going through and tidying things up, and likewise closing expired/duplicate deals. Not HUKD’s strong point.

Illegal, haha! Aye, it’ll be like Oz when Joey and I end up in the clink for giving ludicrous amounts of money directly to Sony and the developers/publishers.

The second-hand market is arguably more damaging.

Agreed. All this hurts, if anybody at all, is the UK VAT man and he can go and GTF anyway.

Very true mate
Rather spend 6.80 more for 12 month UK sub. If you don't take the sub next year from Singapore you lose all your monthly games.
This is Hot UK Deals not Hot World Deals
Good deal if you are willing to faff about to get it ... just wish a UK one at similar price would pop up

They didn’t seem to take issue when I contacted Sony support about an Indonesian account I use which happens to be logging into PSN daily from a Halifax IP address

Yeah and quote me if I'm wrong, but if Sony catch you doing this, is this not an account ban ? I think you will find it is as you are not living anywhere in Asia. Good luck with it if you fancy losing your account.

I do however have a perfectly valid mailing address, unlike others I don’t use random addresses like hotels and places of interest

How would Sony catch people though? Think about what they'd have to do to prove people hadn't actually been resident in those places.

taxes gained by hmrc provide public services, again theres a reason for the sony psplus regions

this thread would have been better served with the intial heading being called multiplayer centric psplus or the like most folks that have a sizeable amount of psplus catalogue wont be interested in this, so i'm out because i like my collection more than the multiplayer
What is most annoying is how online services cost different amounts for different countries. It makes me feel so much like we are being ripped off and the service is not worth it anyways.

My income tax should be paying for that. VAT is just legalised robbery.
I agree with posters who say it's just not worth the hassle, lose games etc.
For couple quid I would much rather buy through UK outlets.
Just got the game offer at £37.49 and used £18 points earned buying my PS pro so actually cost around £19 so happy with that but also agree this may be good deal for some but for those like myself that prefer hassle free and the sale to be governed by UK law it's a no and it's cold from me.

I've had a USA sub for about 2 years but that price range is way out for me I don't mind starting again, as the games they give are mediocre ill hardly miss much
at first glance I thought it was 12 months for the price of 1
Keep posting these deals mate. Even though I probably won't go for it as I game share and only pay half price for PS+. Anything that allows you to pay Sony less money for their services, I'm all for.

People keep talking about losing access to their games after a year. Think I only played 1 or 2 games from last years UK PS+ offerings. Those games were around a tenner any way.

I normally have PS+ for online multiplayer so these deals make sense to me.
playstation are retiring there "free" ps3 and Vita games soon anyway (see other threads) and the price of a uk sign up is dropping so not much use for some anymore and as stated xbox is region free. Hmm you pays your money.....
