This holiday is aimed at the solo traveller or for two people, based on a 13 night holiday in Khao Lak Thailand in October at a 4* resort with breakfast and flights from London Heathrow including 23kg luggage. Works out at £710 if travelling solo or £1084 (£542pp) for two people. Accommodation is booked at Agoda and flights booked separately (China Airways via skyscanner). See below details. Khao Laok is hot all year round and should be around 28 degrees, although expect more rain at that time of the year. Maybe able to flex dates if you want to go in other months.

The Leaf on the Sands by Katathani Resort 16th October to 29th October 13 Nights £338.52

The stay is in a deluxe room for £22 a night. May want to consider upgrading to a villa which is only an extra £7 a night. Includes breakfast and scores 4/5 on Tripadvisor.

The Leaf on The Sands is located just five minutes from Nang Thong Beach. Surrounded by vegetation. The Leaf on The Sands4* is an eco-friendly hotel that is dedicated to social initiatives and wildlife conservation.

Return Flights LHR to Phuket with 23kg luggage £371 15th October to 30th October

Return flights from LHR Air China £371 - 15th October to 30th October, includes checked luggage and one stop via China. If you want a more premium airline e.g. Thai Airways you are looking at around £100 more per person.

It's near Nang Thong,

I met a girl called that there, I say girl
Heat for mentioning the solo price instead of just putting a per person cost.
Looks good chanchi. Voted hot

How far is Khao Lak from Bangkok?

Cracking price. Well found OP.
You believe Trust Pilot who are well known for fake reviews. They are the MOST unreliable source for reviews along with Amazon.

Having said that I've booked accommodation in Asia with Agoda and haven't had any problems at all.

I have had major problems with Agoda, if you have any issues, they dont speak english hardly and are not on uk time.
they do not seem to follow uk rules.
That is my experience.
make of it what you will.
Prepared to get soaked. Nicely in monsoon season.

I used agoda through out all of Asia. Never had a problem. They’re owned by booking.com
We went to Khao lak last November but not this hotel, it’s about an hours drive north from Phuket airport, all the beaches are stunning and quiet. We had great time but beware it’s quiet compared to Phuket ( which we liked) we arranged flights and hotel ourselves. We arranged all from over here, air con taxi from airport etc. great holiday I would recommend Khao lak. Contact me for some tips or contacts if you go
I have used Agoda with no problems
“Andamania Beach Resort, Khaolak” is where we stayed

I’ve never had any problems. Any business has a few people who moan. Can prob find the same comments for any business in the world.

agoda are awful.

Used agoda for 6 months whilst travelling Asia. Never had a problem.
Khao Lak is lovely, badly destroyed in 2004 tsunami starting to recover. Quiet and relaxing, closest place to visit and enjoy Similian Islands and away from Phuket. You better off traveling in November
Flight is 23hr on the return, and it’s out of season/rainy season. I paid £470 direct (12hr) in April (not rainy season) from London. Cold for me
Hopefully someone has some deals for over the Christmas New Year period, looking for somewhere hot & for 5 people.
Thanks in advance...

Spot on. Visited for 3 days passing through. Lovely beaches but couldn't spent 2 weeks there as too quiet for me.
Khao Lak is a centre for scuba diving trips to the similans and burma banks.
You can get cheaper flights with better weather. We're flying to Bangkok with China Eastern on Christmas Eve for £300pp.

Why would they follow UK rules?

Their not a UK company so why would they follow UK rules?
I've used agoda for years without issue, and have used their customer service a couple of times to sort out issues. It's not the best but we got there in the end.
Been to Thailand before and if you have never been, it's a must go. A beautiful but eye opening country. Heat added
Great deal of course...

I would post the flight costs separate as that is a great deal alone. There is so many awesome places in thailand that Koh Lak might not be for everyone and people may want to explore further. Still £22 a night is good value.
Ladyboys
Agoda is awful the slip in discounts and when you find it cheaper will not price match because of said disc

I presume you are a uk citizen,as am I,and as is everyone on this 'deal',paying in pounds from the uk bank, need I go on? lol

Yeah...but that still doesn't explain why Agoda will go by UK law.

THEY DON'T GO BY UK LAW.
To me that is an issue, maybe not you or anyone else,I would not use them ever again, write me off as being of no consequence and book through them, see if I care ...

My apologies - I misread...thought Agoda was a place in Thailand!!
But yeah if Agoda aren't a UK company then the language barrier won't be the only issue.
The only Chinese airline I would use is southern.
