If you purchase from AliExpress do you get hit for import duty?

Cheap for what it is so heat, but I'm holding out for a USB-C power and video in one cable model. I'm also wondering why my hukd alert didn't pick up this deal
Thinking of getting for cctv too so would

There's a chance if ordering above £15. I think its too expensive for a portable monitor.
Bought one last year, tested it but not used it much. Planning to put it up in the garage when I move and either use it for CCTV or streaming stuff to when working out using Apple TV or a Raspberry Pi. I think if you can get use out of it, it's well worth £65.

I briefly had two because I ordered one from Ae which didn't arrive and they fobbed me off so I cancelled and ordered one from ebay. Then both arrived at the same time. The micro USB socket eBay one has sunk into the case and couldn't be connected to. I wanted to use the micro USB as the mains powers so returned it but there was a mains option for power too.

Don’t think there’s import duty under £135 from memory. VAT though (although apparently most of the time AliExpress sellers forget what they sold you and accidentally write Socks - $2)

I never have done in the 5 years I been ordering from them. Usually expensive phones around £150-£180 Mark and they always put "phone case" on the label with a value of $0.05 Lol never got charged any import tax from them

Anything over 18 pounds, or 36 for a gift is subject to VAT upon in import.

However, so long as people choose the Aliexpress shipping method then ti'll enter the country as part of a consignment, and be re-posted within the UK, and thus, if any VAT liability comes up then it would normally be on the entire container/crate, rather than individual packages, thus you should not get any extra charges.

Using main couriers is most likely to attract an extra charge. If you do get caught then the carrier can charge a fee, Royal Mail charge 8 pounds, and couriers can charge a lot more sometimes for handling.

A much better option, but good luck getting them to honor the warranty if it breaks down in a few months. I learnt the hard way.
I've been looking to buy something like this for my S10+ simply connect via USB-C mouse and keyboard via an adapter (all built together) and you have an android laptop.

You should feel lucky. A few years back I bought a PSP, when it was only out in Japan. It was second hand, and UPS wanted to charge me 53 pounds, more than half was handling, plus they wanted to charge VAT on my delivery charge rather than item value! They'd delivered the item like 2 months earlier, too, so no way to refuse delivery, like you could with Royal Mail.

Using a power bank? Any idea on the battery life if you do that?
be great to use on the train with a Nintendo Switch!
Would this work as a field monitor for a DSLR camera via HDMI out? Seems bang on price for the size.
Might be good for my pi. Does it come with any set of stand?
I got the screen without all the crap and stuck it on my Xbox One, but beware, they wont sell you the ribbon cable separate, no one will :/ So don't accidentally break it.

On that note, it's wayyyyyy better than I'd have initially thought then?.

As Singapore uses UK electric socket's as 'standard' (in much the same way as we do here, in the UK anyway).

So none of these pointless EU plug thingy's to UK adapter wotnot contraption whatever whatevers, basically?.

So yeh, why not ... hehehehehehe. :-D

I can't say for sure, but I don't see as to why not?.

If this monitor thing has HDMI on it (as some have already said it does, whereas others have said it doesn't, but if it actually does, etc), then yes, why not?. :-)

As long as you have an external power source to also power up the monitor too, that is ... lol.

Thanks for posting @RiverDragon8 we have added your deal to today's Highlights page
How is the screen for watching video or playing games? Is it a decent panel or does the quality match the price?

I bought a DIY kit for £12 that converts a laptop screen into something similar, but the board gets really hot after a while. The screen is really good (as it was a decent laptop), but it's not usable for anything more than a few minutes.

look like the usb power input is micro usb

You can get screens that are batter powered but they cost a fortune. This would be via mains but I can say your samsung device lasts forever in it's laptop form (samsung dex).

Possibly, actually.. but I returned the faulty one anyway and kept the good one
If you want to use this with a laptop for dual screen when out and about like visiting customer sites, consider a model with a built in display link adaptor, powered and signal go via USB so very few wires.
What best to use this for cctv ? I just need a hikvision app running ...
