I've tried most tablets and have settled on this one, the shape makes it much easier to hold than other flat ones, brilliant battery life in these days of constantly worrying about keeping gadgets charged this lasts for days. Excellent build quality.

Temporarily out of stock.

This says LTE too which is 4G so can anyone confirm this comes with a SIM slot ?

Good price if true.

Am I doing something wrong ?

With the £50 google play offer, this LTE version will be roughly £90. I will flash a new firmware for the dialler. thanks Op, I hope it arrives before 51 days after purchase so we can take advantage of the £5o google play offer, anything less, if it doesn't, I will simply cancel the order.

Yoga 3 due to be released within the next month or so I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Still a good price for this though.

I have the 10" version of the non lte tablet. Developed a fault with the screen where there was no back light sent it off got it repaired via Amazon. Then it updated to 5.0.1 now takes 18+ hours to charge. I really liked these tablets but mine is almost unusable now which is a shame. Looking to see how the new ones turn out.

Good find, thanks!
Have just ordered one.
Even better as a student, as it's eligible for a 5% NUS discount (bringing the checkout price down to £132.99)

OK Bro

On a serious note, I've got the Yoga HD+ 10.1 3G and wish I'd waited for the yoga 2 8.
When I last looked (a while ago now), there was a custom rom that enabled using the yoga 2 8 dialler to make phone calls. So basically you can use a bluetooth headset (if you feel stupid yelling at a tablet), and have a fully contained phone system on top of everything else.

Could be very useful for the office if you don't have to squint to see an 8" screen.

It's more than likely it's not even a custom ROM because Lenovo supply these with dialing capabilities to Asia and Eastern European countries.
I have a Lenovo A8-50 that was supplied with only 3g data but the Russian Lenovo forum had the official data & calls ROM to download and install so mine can now make calls.

same, I had nothing but trouble with the 10 inch version. battery would say fully charged, then in an instant it dropped to half that. eventually just stopped working after 6 months.

Great resolution, but I don't get the Yoga. Most 2-in-1 are a tablet and something else - this does not work as a tablet?

I don't get why this isn't hotter? Argos are selling a "refurbished" one on their eBay page but that's only Wi-Fi. And refurbished. And that's the cheapest I could find.

Any one know if you could install Windows 10 on to the Android version of this tablet?

Very good price for this tablet. Even more so for the LTE version. This has swayed me. Not that I need LTE modem on my tablet. In fact I don't need a new tablet at all.
Time will tell if it arrives or not.
Thanks OP

It works perfectly as a tablet.

What do you use a tablet for? I reckon this should do the job for the majority of them.

- Intel SoC is actually quite decent. Not the most powerful, but certainly good enough for a mid-range tablet.
- 8" screen - perfect compromise for portable tablets. 10" tablets are a dying breed.
- Indeed KitKat is a bit dated. But it will be updated eventually. And its perfectly usable. Don't see why people get so hung up on latest Android OS.
Show us a better tablet for this sort of money?

Thanks for that. Is there any way to sell the Play Store credit? I only use it to buy the occasional app so chances are it would expire before I used it

no, it'll still cost 139.99 ... just you'll have 50quid credit
unless you would have bought 50quid credit for 50quid cash you cant interchange them

Does anyone know if the £50 app store credit is linked in some way to the tablet so it can only be used by the buyer of this tablet or is it a code of number and letters that can be transfered or preferably sold to another person through the likes of eBay.
I would like to know the answer to this question because there is no way I would ever spend £50 on apps.
In the last 6 years I have spent the grand total of £2.50 in the app store.

Forgive me if I've misinterpreted the T&C for the Google Play promotion, but as far as I can see, eligibility is for orders placed "from Amazon.co.uk between August 20, 2015 and September 22, 2015.", so this criteria has been met (as it appears to go by the date on the order confirmation rather than the delivery date).

The purchase also has to be registered "no sooner than 21 calendar days and no later than 51 calendar days from your order date", so this should also be possible, regardless of when the tablet actually arrives.

Please do say if I'm misguided though (as then I'll cancel my order for the tablet).

Thank you, great find

I'm no too optimistic about this. I think they will use every excuse to reject your claim.

Lenovo's T&Cs aren't consistent with what's written on Amazon's webpage detailing the promotion.
"10. In order to qualify for the Promotion, customers must register their purchase and complete the claim form at lenovo-offers.com/goo…lay (“Promotional Website”) no sooner than 21 calendar days and no later than 51 calendar days from the date of invoice or till receipt (“Proof of Purchase”)." As expected the invoice date is the actual date of placing the order. And this is always going to be either the shipping date or the date payment was taken - normally the same date.
"4. The Programme is only open to purchasers of Qualifying Products bought between 00.01 on 20th August 2015 to 23.59 on 22nd September 2015 inclusive (“Promotion Period”)." - Again - no mention of order date.

I just got an email from Amazon saying my tablet has been dispatched and will be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) as I'm a prime member.
So it looks like I'll be eligible for the free Google play store credit X)
I imagine they'll try and post most orders very soon.
