YES, but you need to change your regulator to a 21mm clip on (see post #1)

Can I use this with a portable gas heater ?

Others, Propane and Patio gas are available also but incur a deposit charge if no empty to return.

13kg takes normal 21mm regulator, if you need to change the one on your BBQ, they do them for £8.99 delivered.

    6 months ago 13kg Butane was £22.98

    12 months ago the same.

Can't grumble at just over £1 increase to £23.99 surely when competitors can be £50+....?.

Is this what you use in portable gas heaters for the home? Have one for power cuts, just wondering if this would do the job?

Be careful though, some older heaters have a 20mm regulator on them.

Also that is a great price. I manage an LPG filling plant and can confirm that they can't be making much profit selling at that price.

Propane uses a screw on regulator, Butane is clip on.

    Your choices ;

    Use a propane cylinder.

Change your current regulator for a clip on 21mm regulator (see pic in post #1) to fit Butane cylinders.

Gas cylinders give 14kw per kg (?)

So, a 13kg cylinder costing £23.99 equals £1.85 per kg
    £1.85/14 equals £0.13 per kwh.

Not 100% sure on that though*

Compare £0.13/kwh to your kwh electricity cost.

Very rough estimate as efficiency plays a big part.

    *awaiting someone to correct me
