Fab monitor, I bought one a few months back when ours packed up for my daughters bedroom, very happy with it and would definitely recommend at this price!

PCWorld have a 14.1" TFT monitor for £49.99. Stock may be low.

hi, is this online at pc world or instore only, thanks

I can't find the PC world one online anywhere? Don't forget, if buying the Maplin monitor it's 3% Quidco.

Is VGA the only input socket?

Aww it's a cute little baby monitor, I want one!

I was going to buy that dixon one but its out of stock, why put it up if there isnt any stock?

- In case it came back into stock.
- To show how much cheaper a slightly dated (ok, very dated) monitor can be.
- For a laugh - if i was serious & it was in stock it would have got its own thread

This is 4:6 1024x768.
Where as this one is 1280x800 and can display 720p

Is the Maplin Monitor a DGM one?

If so, I bought one a while back from ebuyer for around £65 and it's great, for the money!

Only real downside is that the speakers are a bit tinny and don't have a volume control (But you can adjust the vol from within Windoze, so no great hardship really). Apart from that the picture, whilst not perfect, is better than some monitors I have seen at twice the price and not a duff pixel in sight!

(Oh, the other thing is that the blue power LED is too bright!)

Why the twisty face? I personally thought it was obvious what he meant - one's widescreen and the other's the traditional 'square' (ish) shape.

(Unless that's supposed to be a winking smiley, in which ignore me but also "yukk" at the worst winking smiley ever.)

It's a winking smiley ;-), oh and 4:6 is hardly a square.

Just ordered one today because I seen it in my local computer shop for £90 and it looks fab. Also ordered a new computer

Can't wait.
