Good luck! Since our son started school, we only go to rubbish places, 4 times more expensive than before, as the prices during school holidays are absolutely ridiculous...Eurocamp type of holidays now, and with a struggle.
wonderful place for famailies and very hospitable staff where we stayed.
would go back every year!

Wonderful destination for families. Highly recommended.
Been to Turkey / Antalya in the end of April before, its warm but no good for swimming as all the pools will be freezing .
Turkey in April doesn’t have the best weather, outside pool will be really cold.
It looks like a really good deal for a family if it is in school holidays. I had bad experiences and good ones in Turkey and I put it down to individuals. Just be aware of old men chatting up your young daughters and strangers taking your young son out of your hands and kissing their feet(cultural) . I went three times and it’s enough for me. Great deal
It will still be cold on April to dip in water.. cold
I went to Turkey a few years ago. Went to Marmaris for a couple of weeks. Had a great time and the local people were so friendly and helpful. Weather was fantastic too. Recommended location from me

"I wouldn't go back to a country 3 times the size of the UK because I thought the tiny bit I went to was awful"

It's OK, I don't like bloody foreigners either.
At the reps meeting when I was in Turkey 3 years ago the first thing out of her mouth was 'make no mistake Turkey is a third world country' she then went on to warn us about terrorism and scams!
Pretty unnerving for a first visit. She did sing the praise of the ancient monuments etc.
We found the hotel and local restaurants to be clean and of a reasonable standard but it's not a well kept place under the surface. A few (not many) of the locals who were in traditional religious dress did look at tourists as if they were not welcome.
I suppose we could have been unlucky with our experiences but I have to say I wouldn't really want to return. A guy in the hotel had a heart scare and came back to the hotel after 3 days in the hospital with food poisoning. He said the hospital was a dump and no place for sick people!

The pools are freezing, best to book a hotel that heat their outdoor pools..Maxx Royal, Voyage Belek, Calista....
We went in April 3 years ago, warmish but not for sunbathing or outdoor pool. Appeared it was out of season as we were only English and rest of people were Iranian. Got on well with them though and had darts comps etc.
Went into the local town on the bus and felt safe. Best kebabs going if you like them 😃
Possible to add children to the booking ?

Trendy at Lara beach also have a heated outdoor pool, been 3 times now, went last year 3rd week in March and had 6 hot days out of the 7 we were there.
Turkey is lovely place. Would quite happily go there all the time with my family.

Jeez I'm with you - I'll be avoiding risky places where people die in road accidents, by staying inside my house till I die of old age. What a ridiculous comment, not worth the wear on your keyboard mate.

I hope you reported her obvious racism.
The reason you shouldn't go to Turkey is Erdogan. That's it. Personal choice.

It's a beautiful country with well developed tourism if that is what you like, run by a crackpot dictator trying to crush freedom and secularism.

I actually went to this hotel a few years ago and it was really nice, friendly and helpful staff and side itself was really nice. Definitely recommend
What do you do in Turkey in April though? I have thought Turkey was kinda june-sep kind of place.

They have to tell you about terrorism and scams as it’s part of what can happen on the country

What's Erdogan gotta do with me holidaying, chillaxing in pool/beach?

Erdogan or no Erdogan, no one should rain on your parade.

Stayed at the Trendy Lara a couple of summers ago, lovely hotel, normally stay in belek beginning of March, we have had some wonderful sunbathing weather, a bit nippy at night.
