cant beat a few weeks in teegypt

Last time I was in Taba, almost 20 years ago it was just the border crossing between Sinai and Israel. This was quite a long way from Sharm el Sheik and not a particularly nice journey! Not really the real Egypt IMO.

Not what many people voting cold think.

What do they expect for under £330? Some people pay £400+ for 1 week in Egypt.

:whistling:

Good find. Keep the deals coming!

Sounds good to me - would love to go!

Taba nothing there thats why its cheap and always is. cold cold

You try and find a two week holiday anywhere, All inclusive in a 4* hotel.

This a good ploace to take a 3-4 year old too for a relaxing holiday?

If you type in taba forum on google, you will find a big forum about the Movenpick Taba. They've currently been having major problems there with about 170 people go down with sickness, and there are still issues with people coming back sick. We was out there in October and had problems ourselves. Also part of th beach was destroyed January/February of this year due to freak waves, and I know they've had to rebuild part of the beach. Taba is ok if you don't mind complexes, but unfortunately there is very little there and virtually nil in the way of entertainment at night. Going across the border to Eilat can also work out very expensive as you have to pay taxes to both Israel and Egypt to get in and out.

not advisable, please read the above and look on the taba forum:

ok if you dont mind 4 people in 1 room for 14 nights!

Perhaps not as hot as ur previous deals but have some heat for your efforts anyway

I have been to the hilton in taba which is next door to the movenpick. you will need flights to taba because its nowhere near sharm. its ok to get away from it all. there is some really nice diving around there including a spectacular house reef. the dive centre fromthe hilton (which movenpick residents use also) was very good with some great boat dives. great deal if you can get flights. be warned tho, its not a town with things to do in, its all in the resort with nothing outside!

trips to petra and other places are good from there. you can see israel (50 yard away) jordan, and saudi.

Hope this helps

Well worth checking out Asda Travel too - i'm taking the family to a 5* hotel in Egypt (sharm) for just over £1200 all-inclusive later this month.

Taba was fine for me when I stayed there last year, but there really isn't much to do except sit around in the sun, eat and drink.

If you think you can handle such a stressful excursion, it's fine.

Military escort from the airport was a little unnerving though.

That would be good compared to this. Better hotel, MUCH BETTER TIME OF YEAR, and since it's in half term you don't need to book time off for the kids.

5* in Egypt could mean two star here. I suggest you look at reviews of your hotel.

always check on trip advisor before i go anywhere even going to the shops

too far from sharm...better off paying a little more for hotel in sharm than trying to travel the distance via road approx 200km away....love egypt been twice in last 6 months,on the cheap, but even I have to say cold for this as a package, but great price for the flights.....+ I have been waiting for easyjet to open flights after 29th Oct so good heads up!

what's the weather like this time of year?

I've been to Egypt in April, May, July, August, October & Novemeber lol Obviously - July/Aug is HOT HOT HOT well into the early 40's
When we were there in November it was lovely - Well into the late 30's. Some days were slighly cloudy but its still so hot - You just dont realise. I burnt my legs so badly on one of the overcast days - Ouch

Not sure about this hotel or Taba - But i would definitley reccomend Sharm & the most amazing hotel (which has a total new extension ) Hilton Sharks Bay  Going back this July cant wait!! 2 Adults, 2 kids - 14nights all inclusive cost us just over £3000 - Well worth it though!

To stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay for a week all inclusive in November will be around £500 per person. For this deal above for Taba - You would need to add extra transport to get you from Sharm to Taba and baggage, tranfers etc. Go for the luxury and stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay.... Love it x

Where does £326 come from ??????

No baggage, No transfers

You can get a package holiday to Egypt for around £400

What's hot about this???

cracking price for egypt, no doubt will suit someone, so stop complaining and try n find better if you can...keep em comin manboy.

Fine for us too!
We like to relax when we're on holiday (and do little else!) so Taba was perfect for us.
We stayed at the Intercontinental, which neighbours the Movenpick, in August last year

booked flights seperately through Thomson for £520 for 2 adults,

Scenery is amazing-Sinai mountains tower in the background and the corals/reefs are awesome for snorkelling-there is a 'National Geographic' Dive centre there which shows how good it is. Also really recommend quad biking through the canyons.

If you want the nightlife/commercialism then Sharm is for you-Taba is a lot more laid back...

nice deal, wish i had some time & money free so i could go =[

Try getting a two week All Inclusive package to Egypt for £400.

If you do, i'll never post on this forum again...

My hubby and i went there for 1 wk half board in August as a last minute deal - (£800 approx all in). We stayed in the Hilton. It was lovely but there is not a lot around to do, as already said the diving is amazing - i've never done this before but loved it. We would take our boys there for perhaps a wk (6 and 4yr olds) as it is great to relax. We also went to Eilat - it wasn't too bad and completely different - HUGE shopping centre which was very cheap. Also, the border control on the Israel side was cheap for alcohol etc.
