Utter bargain for 14 nights in October. The weather in Cambrils aint bad either in October. Damn site better than here for sure. You can expect up to 72°F with average temperatures of 64°F. The hotel gets very decent reviews on TripAdvisor i.e 4/5 based on 71 ratings.

A small and friendly complex that is perfect for families, the Esmeralda is well located on the coastal road between Salou and Cambrils, a quieter, more family orientated resort that is just outside of Salou. These apartments offer a good value for money holiday base, and people return year after year. Please note: a refundable deposit of approx 50 euros is payable on arrival.

**I've not included transfers in this as you are better off having either a hire car waiting for you but transfers for the whole party are a decent £48.00; but TBH I'd go with the hire car option so you can explore for your holiday

cheap as chips
Stayed in the Esmeralda last year and I can honestly say ITS A FLEA PIT and that's putting it politely. I would never stay there again no matter how cheap it is.
Couldn't agree more with coastersteve. We stayed here for one night when we were travelling along the coast. It was bl00dy awful. Grotty rooms, Corrie, Eastenders, Karaoke and drunken scumbags all night long. Unless you're a tone-deaf, drunken scumbag into soap operas then avoid.
Stop using the Fahrenheit scale! What's the point of using a system where 0 is the lowest recorded temperature in Gdansk (Danzig) in 1709 and 100 is the body temperature of Fahrenheit's grandma when she had a fever?!...

Yes it's cheap... but I had the misfortune of ending up there once on an "allocation on arrival" deal - you pay your price & take your chance!
I can honestly say it is the WORST place I've stayed.
You want to enjoy a holiday so it's worth an extra few quid to stay somewhere else.
OMG , a week would be bad enough.........but two ??
absolute terrible plate .. AVOID!!!!!
superb post chaykin
Bad place to go. Avoid
Nice price
I went to Salou and went up to Cambrils for the market. The town seemed nice enough, some really nice cafes/bars. but only really saw what was around the church and market.

Beach was deserted (went in April) and it looked a bit quiet for children.
