This will only really apply to those who miss the micro vans of yesteryear, such as the Suzuki Carry, Bedford Rascal, etc.

So the Chinese are coming to fill the void left by the Japanese.

Motorpoint Derby are selling the DFSK Loadhopper Van for £6,362.80 on the road.
(Can be delivered to any other Motorpoint for £99)

From what i have read they are based on the Suzuki Carry van with a mid mounted engine and rear wheel drive.

This is a back to basics van, no frills.

looking at the bonnet ,I thought it was a new BMW,I thought they had started making vans
for milkmen and the like will be ideal

is price + vat?

I know I have only highlighted a particular section, but I would want to pay extra for what I would say are very basic safety features

' But safety equipment is lacking compared with conventional rivals – driver airbag is only available in an option pack, while a passenger airbag is not available at all. ABS brakes are not available with some models, but are available as part of a £1,000 option pack for others'

£4,999 + VAT

That is good then.
Great for a business, claim back the vat.

All prices exclude Road Fund Licence and a First Registration Fee at the current rate where applicable. A Pre-Delivery Fee of £89 (optional) includes, HPI Certificate, PDI, Service (if required) and valet. Vehicles are supplied with balance of manufacturers warranty where available. Specification subject to confirmation on inspection. Vehicles may be moved from site to site at an additional cost.

also these (most of motorpoint cars) are grey market imports i believe so warranties may not be as expected and also maybe insurance implications

dont forget to add: Drivers may be surprised to find that power steering is not standard, which could make for a little muscle flexing if driving a fully laden van. Power steering is offered as part of a £500 option pack,

This may be difficult as it doesn't have power steering

The price includes road tax, first registration and vat.

The review is of the older model, but was just to give an idea of what its like in general.

As i said, back to 1990 basics.

great deal

How do they extract so much CO2 out of a 1.0l engine, impressive.......

I remember the days of being on 2 wheels going round corners in my works Bedford rascal years ago,Scary but fun and that was normal driving.Imagine this will be the same.

Really good for someone starting a new business. The only experience I have of Chinese vehicles is a friend of mine had a Chines Motorbike. Very very cheap but rode like a bag of bolts. He sold it off at great loss as soon as he could.

Love it! Can't believe they've actually gone to the trouble to import them over here

Autoexpress review comes back surprisingly good.

Although safety features appear to be lacking somewhat...

Road tax is the standard LGV rate of £220 per year.

Hahahaha lol, best laugh I had today - nicely done mate...hahaha

Sim Simma..... who's gone and made this in to ......FFS a Bimma.....lolzzz heat though

If I hadn't seen this thread and came across one of these on a road I would have assumed it was a BMW. I doubt BMW are pleased with that grill design especially on such a crude basic van.

Excellent for trips to the cash and carry!
