Found 11th Jun 2014
Model : Gardenline GLM1437
1400W
37cm blade
10m cable
3 height settings 25/42.5/60mm
Fold away handle.

Found reviews of older 1000w model which were positive. I suspect £50-60 mowers are much-of-a-muchness, and I haven't seen anything comparable at this price, so I'm putting this out there.

Phoned ALDI to check local stock levels and it appears to be a national deal. There were about 10 remaining in stock at Knutsford branch.

I don't know when this offer ends!

It'll end when the Knutsford branch sell all their stock of this item.

It's not a national deal - reduced stickered stock never is.

Looks a great deal at this price, I have just had my Tesco deal delivered of Flymo lawnmower and Flymo strimmer delivered at £50 so no good for me but a great price for everyone who is looking now. Heating you up....

I don't know when this offer ends!

Usually until all the stock has sold out in that store.

Looks good, wish this was on offer before I bought my Qualcast 1400w - defo would've went with this one although I've no complaints with the one I bought

I picked this up for £49.99 a week or so back. Good mower, not keen on the height adjustment method, but it did a lovely job on the lawn.

Whilst all stores were originally supplied with this product, many have already sold out.

Even if another branch does still have stock, it may not be reduced.

Reduced stickered stock is never national. They would have told you that if you called them.

More than happy with the results of my Flymo so far so think I may pass for now but thanks for your great advice.

This looks identical to the Argos 'own brand' mower.

Although a better wattage and a bit cheaper currently.

I have the Argos one and its perfectly good. Better suited to a small garden as it has a narrow cutting width but our garden is quite large and it does a good job!!

What do you mean "if I called them".. lol.

Sir, are you calling me a liar!

No I asked if they had any local stock of the 1400w mower reduced to £39;99, and the operator began to reel off a list of local stock levels, but I stopped her because the nearest one had plenty.

Whilst Flymo do some models that are a total disaster (check out the reviews of this model on Amazon.. the worst score I've ever seen for any product almost every review is 1/5 :Mow N Vac 900w.. they do also do some very decent ones. The Flymo RE320 for example.

(Guess whose being doing hours of research on mowers :p)

Probably making way for the lawnmower they have for sale from the 19th of june, its £34.99 not as powerful though at 1000w
aldi.co.uk/en/…-1/

Had aldi mower few years ago looked very much like this one was really well made
Seemed indestructible got left out all winter before got rid and still worked ok
Got replaced by petrol one as we have large garden regretted it may get one of these

If no stock local....then don't forget they are selling another one from this Thursday at £35.......maybe not as large power...

Tried it now..

Doesn't cope with steep slopes (like... 30-35 degree) very well.. my old B&Q did better but it had shorter blades..

Other than that, works well.

I've got one of these, it stands up to some heavy use (I cut a lawn on a 40° Slope and it still goes fine. its decent for the price but if you have a big lawn area to do, a larger mower would be advisable

May I ask are you approach the slope sideways on or up and down?

Seemed better on second use but still not ideal.

I agree it's tough - I have a huge lawn and the grass was very tall when I got it maybe 4" it didn't struggle at all.

R U 4 Real?

6 posts (including this one) in 7 years?

And you've bumped a thread from a month ago to share your experience???

I go up and downwards due to the severity of the slope, James. Its not the best mower out there but it gets the job done. Its a cheasp and cheerful mower.
FYI Eveshamlad I dont go on here that often as the app i use on my phone doesn't show posts. Feel free to report me if you have a issue.
