why cold

oh no...not caged eggs u n*zi :O lol

I myself opt for free range eggs but I dont think theres any need for the HUGE deabtes and arguments that come with non free range produce

Waiting for it.................

cause people dont like caged eggs....BUT before everyone starts, its a good deal. Not everyone can afford free range

I think it's a crackin' deal

Thanks for the post - fancied some protein packed eggs for for a treat at the weekend.

Great in a three egg omelette, with bacon and mushrooms, bit of onion and a side of OJ.

I enjoyed my pancakes so much on tuesday I might do some more this weekend.

Handy to keep in stock in case you see a stray politician

Same in Asda:thumbsup:

Any idea who sells empty "free range" boxes so I can sneak these past my daughter?

ooooooh i'm a morale person, i buy free range eggs but battery farm chickens.

Time for an early night theres gonna be alot of reading on here by tomorrow morning :whistling:

I grabbed a great deal in my local tesco today - i managed to score 12 large Free Range Eggs for 80p (on the discounted shelf, but still more than a week left on them).

I don't personally like caged eggs, but to each their own. for anyone who buys caged eggs, this is a good deal.

They taste the same anyway.

"Not everyone can afford free range"...ahhh, how true...

Of course, it would have a little more credibility if it wasn't for the fact that they seem to be able to afford all sorts of other stuff then just gets chucked out to landfill...

Like....what?

Or are you just tarring everyone with the same brush or just generalising for your lack of facts or just a spokesman for the all unknowing or just....got nothing better to do....now where's my bacon....yum me!

Hens can't buy this deal though - they can't handle money and suffer from poor credit ratings.

For a human, this is a good deal.

They're going cheap.

Sorry....couldn't resist.

No point getting the whip out, its already dead :whistling:

why cold

'cos it's cra*p:p

Why do people ask?:?

the deal was on on Monday when I bought 2 lots but then by Tuesday it had gone back to £1.45 as opposed to Asdas £1.50...
so is it still on???

I wouldnt eat anything if i know an animal has been ill treated , sometimes it cant be helped if eating out as u never know what your getting but i always try to find out if i can ......always try to buy organic or free range if i can , same with meat as well , but obviously people dont care about animal cruelty as long as they get something cheap.

These animals are forced to live in their own waste and on top of the corpses of their cage-mates.... would you really want to eat one of these eggs

If someone offered me 6 eggs for 40p caged or £5 for free range i would still buy free range

And free range eggs are actually free range because it says so on the box right? Right?
Just like all food that says 'organic' on the packaging is actually organic....

I got some of these for pancakes, tasted great.

But there isn't any real difference in the taste and animals don't have the faculties to experience suffering. So you can eat these guilt free.

There is a staggering amount of ignorance being shown here.

Just try a free range egg at the same time as one of these. if you cant taste a difference, then I suggest you give up the fags & booze cos your pallete is shot!

As for animals not experiencing suffering - the logic of that statement defies belief. Go and cut of your dogs leg and see if they mind :whistling:

Don't smoke, rarely drink - have omelettes regularly for the protein and I really can't tell the difference between a free range and caged egg. Maybe it's the other flavours I use of maybe it's just some placebo effect in people's minds.

Don't own a dog, wouldn't cut it's leg off if I did - unless I was going to eat it. Cruelty is an entirely subjective concept.

I suspect these hens don't. Even if they do, they're only animals - we breed them purely as tools to produce food. If we didn't, they wouldn't exist.

This is a deal for 15 caged hen eggs - the heat should be based on equivalent products.

As for the quality of these eggs compared to free range eggs, that seems to be rather subjective. It seems some people just can't get past the idea that not everyone shares their particular (trademarked) brand of 'morals'.
