Caged hens?? No thank you
Does this need to be a repeat of people trying to guilt others for buying these - like the last time a cheap deal for these eggs was posted, or can people just agree it is a good price and decide whether or not to buy themselves without telling others what to do.
Class 2 or even worse class 3 eggs, they’ve been made illegal in half of Europe for a reason. Appreciate they’re cheap, but avoid.
Couldn't give a toss if they're caged or not... Free range just means they potter round in a dark barn with broken legs instead.

If people don't care about the treatment of chickens, I doubt a comment here will make a difference to them. Also, I'd much rather have people giving me advice about what I should or shouldn't do than have people telling me what I can and cannot say.

People can say what they like - that is the whole point, but the liberal point of view is to not tell them what they should or shouldn't do.

They also trample each other to death especially the weak ones get trampled first. Free range is just a marketing gimmick seemingly many people fall for.

These aren’t regulated, most of the eggs will be full of blood and gunk. Alright if you’re struggling but not the nicest

I have never had them with blood and gunk. They also have the red lion logo so they are regulated.

You can see how this would be easy to miss, I mean the big red lion logos left and right of the sticker are easy to miss.
Been buying farmfoods eggs for years, nothing wrong with them, heat added.
I'm sure a lot of people who make a judgmental comment here they don't buy free range chickens. Buy free range eggs, buy free range chicken too. Otherwise please just shut up and respect other people's choice. If you go free range all the way then well done 👏

How da ya liiike ya eggs in the mornin? I like mine with animal cruelty and suffering!
We’ve gone upmarket over the past few years and now only buy eggs and chickens from our local farm directly where they have loads of space to roam. The quality is fantastic.
That being said for those on a budget now in these challenging times, this is a good price. In the past we’ve bought caged eggs/chicken and should the worst happen to us and we hit financially difficult times again would have no issues buying caged hens eggs or chicken matter again.
Nobody should feel ashamed for buying the food they can afford.
Heat added.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wik…ing

Here it explains it all

It’s one of the many good things brought in by the EU that have been kept “hidden” by our political class (as usual).

I buy just type 0, and if I’m in a country where that’s hard to find, then I’ll settle for type 1.

Even quality wise, just looking at it when you crack it , you can tell that animal welfare massively affects the final product (apart from the obvious moral side of it)
Says right there they are class A
