Bought the 15 last week, nice eggs but small.
Heat anyway as their 18 back of cheap ones are £1.50 and nowhere near as tasy (boiled that is,fried and they all taste of the oil anyway).

I said "back" instead of "pack"...sorry,beer and whisky for breakfast (work nights).

You also said 'tasy' instead of tasty ;-)

Thanks for the tip on the eggs - Heat added

Nicster08 - had a look on supermarket.com and can only find 6 eggs 'caged hens' for 63p rather than free-range. Do I need to go instore for this deal? Thanks.

Where do those "free-range" eggs come from, after all it's WallMart?

we have bought these eggs from asda a few times & found tiny spots of blood in almost every single egg.will never buy again.

LOL! What? They are an animal product! All eggs are supposed to have this in them, it is the chick. I'd be more worried if they didn't.

Sainsburys also doing 15 free range for £2, in case you don't have an Asda near.

You get 15 for £1.50 at ICELAND. Not HOT.

CriticTub; is that for free-range?

15 for £2.50 @ Tesco; mixed sized mind.

clucking amazing deal!!.... (sorry couldn't resist)

These hens don't run with cockerels, so it's not possible for it to be a chick. At the risk of putting people off, the blood spots are small hemorrhages when the egg is being formed. It's perfectly normal and completely harmless. The reason you don't normally see it in factory eggs is that they are candled (checked with a very bright light) to check for imperfections. You eat much more blood in a nice juicy steak!

Hot if you don't have an Iceland though.

watson44: I actually wanted to confirm that these were for free range eggs rather than caged (63p for 6). This has now been clarified. Thanks for the link anyway.

......and remember an egg is basically a hens period!! You wouldn't eat your own egg when it is unfertilized and therefore expelled from your body during your monthly period, so why would you eat a hens.......would never, ever eat an egg, gross!!!

Yes, and you wouldn't eat your own **** but you will eat rump steak!

Seldom have I heard such absolute rubbish!

What are you proposing as rubbish exactly?? All that was said in the above posts are accurate and perfectly true. If you don't like the truth then DON'T EAT EGGS!!!

No I think eating my own egg is gross ..... The thought makes me sick lol

13p an egg is a bit steep.

Aldi and Lidl do 6 free range eggs for 99p which I think is a good deal too

I always buy free-range, but THIS ARTICLE is worrying.
