Valid for travel from 06/10/16 to 16/12/16 inclusive
Just tried this, plenty of cheap fares came up for me. Easy peasy, great deal, heat.

Whatabout on the way back how much is that costing you
Just keep in mind.. This is for travel between the two stations. You're not supposed to get on or off anywhere along the way.. not knowing this.. I had an instance where I had to buy a normal ticket as I was trying to get on at a station in between (even though it was stoping there). I wasn't breaking the trip... i just hadn't started it.
Is this price to help distract from recent negative press stories about Virgin Trains..?
Does the free bevy include Irn Bru?
Nice one

But if you can walk straight onto the train there is nothing that can be done to you. When inspector is on board you have a valid ticket to Edinburgh, full stop.

Great Deal booked to keep the children entertained during the Half Term! Thanks!
Do I need to seat like Jeremy Corbyn? Good deal if not!
just a case of finding a hotel with room for the family now! Easier said than done
Does anyone have sample (weekend) dates? Can't seem to get anything cheaper than £45 each way

Yes, if you have a valid ticket to Edinburgh you have to get off at Edinburgh, not before. It's a condition of advance purchase tickets that you're not allowed to get off at any station other than your destination. This is what happens if you do...

Yes, but you wil probably have to pay a hefty penalty.
Just bought tickets for 2 adults & 2 kids -
First class return for £240 (or £120 each way)
Got a 4* hotel near Kings Cross which will accommodate the 4 of us for £150 per night including breakfast
So, 3 nights away in London for 4 for less than £700 - an absolute bargain

I'm pretty sure it's a byelaw offence to purchase a ticket to or from a station you have no intention of visiting for this exact reason. This enables railway operators to run offers like cheap £5 tickets to the beach that commuters heading for closer suburbs can't take advantage of.

Byelaw offences are punishable by fines up to level 3 which I think is £1000 at the moment.
