Unsure if it's national but just seen this in my local Asda, not sure if it contravenes the sugar tax but worth a look

Cracking price. Stock up while you can. Prices will sky rocket soon with companies blaming the sugar tax

I see this thread becoming a byker grove discussion rather than about the pepsi deal 😁

50p is less than the cost of the sugar tax on a bottle that size.

Depends on what they want to sell it for surely? Isn't the tax a proportion of the sale price?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

The “sugar tax” is levied on the manufacturers. Also, there was no sugar tax 11½ months ago when these particular drinks were bottled.

The tax is calculated on how much sugar there is in the drink. More liquid usually means more sugar so more tax and they are buying from somewhere which would have put the tax on. But as mentioned these were probably bought before the sugar tax was implemented.
Just make sure you were your eye masks in store and don’t get shot in the eyes with no paintball gun!

Main question, has anyone actually found some for 50p???
I got some but it was short dated so didnt post. Best before may 2018. Still a bargain but it tasted fairly flat compared to normal.

Nice toilet cleaner
wouldn't worry to much about expiry. sugar, water and some additives aren't going to bother you as much as milk.
They had them in Asda, Benton as well. tastes a little flat.
