For those that have to buy these types of eggs this may be a good deal. If you can afford to then please try buy free range. I'm lucky enough to live near a few farms and it's £1.20-1.50 for 6 eggs but you'd never ever see the yolks as yellow or the eggs as good as these in the supermarkets. Same for all farmed produce too.

Yolk colour isn’t really an accurate representation of quality/health of the bird since it can be manipulated by the diet, feed a chicken a diet that is rich in caretonoids such as paprika and they will produce an orange yolk. I’v had free range allotment eggs, chickens were fed fresh vegetables and allsorts and the yolks were bright yellow and some that were bright orange, just depends what it was being fed at the time. Yolk colour is redundant.
