15% off on all home computers (desktops and laptops), using the code "DOEASTER15"

For instance, you can currently get the very nice Dell Inspiron 13 (7370) laptop for £525 (certified refurbished, 1 year warranty):
  • Core i5 quad core 8th Gen
  • 256GB SSD
  • 13.3 inch full HD IPS screen, with slim bezel
  • Full aluminium case, only 1.4kg, slim and compact
  • Fingerprint sensor and infrared camera (face detection) for Windows Hello

They also have the i7 models in stock, as well as the "pink champagne" ones...

This is a premium laptop, on par with the XPS 13, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro etc. Not to be confused with the Inspiron 13 5000 models, made of plastic and with a thicker bezel.

Same model sold at Dell online for £799 and John Lewis for £729:

=== About the Dell Outlet ===

Based on my personal experience with the Dell Outlet (several purchases over 4 years), "certified refurbished" means the computer will be "as new", without marks or cosmetic damage. It will not come in its original box, and may have functional defects Dell didn't bother to fix/test (but could explain why such computer was returned by a customer previously). I had for instance: cloudy screen, webcam not working, rattling trackpad...

Their quality assurance process doesn't seem to be great at identifying the most basic defects. It seems that they just clean up the machine, reinstall Windows and that's it.

However, always possible to get it fixed free of charge (under warranty, which is the same as new computers) or just return free of charge (Dell will organise a next day collection). It's basically a bit of lottery, for people who want to save money but are happy to go through the process. Just be aware.

In term of delivery, it usually takes between 4 and 10 working days to receive the computer, even though they appear in stock.

One of the courier company they currently use (UK Mail) is the worst, ignoring delivery instructions/dates and just dumping computers in front of doors, without signature. Some people have just lost their order that way.

Not sure if it’s the case with all of them but they quote a 10 day delivery

Yeah, with the refurbished ones you won't get them quickly.

When I bought mine 3 years ago I had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery. No chance of next day delivery etc. Even if you were willing to pay.

Despite the fact that computer are clearly in stock, shipping does take some time. Based on experience of buying several times from the Dell Outlet, it has taken between 4 and 7 working days to receive the item.

I ordered my refurb 2 days ago and it's dispatched already. Delivery states Tuesday delivery but that's because of easter.

Yeah their delivery times are ridiculous. Ordered on the 23rd and still waiting for it to be dispatched. Been so long that the bank has even put the funds back into my account.

I am sure you are wrong. Maybe it was an inspiron 5000 model, made of plastic, or price excluding VAT.

The Inspiron 7370 is a premium model, made of aluminium and with a thin-bezel screen, on par with the XPS 13, and Apple laptops.

I ordered an XPS 13 two weeks ago, and it was despatched within 2 working days, and received in 4 days. Fastest delivery from the Dell Outlet. It seems to be random depending on models. Maybe they only refurbish the laptops once sold, and have to wait for parts sometimes, although it would seem strange.

Their courier company was utter rubbish (UK Mail): I had changed the delivery date online, which they then ignored, and dumped the Dell branded parcel in front of my door, without any signature. Doesn't seem to be a good idea to do that with a computer worth hundreds...

Delivery is dependent on where it’s shipped from. Some are in Ireland, some in Poland and some ship from Romania. I was advised this when I ordered two refurbs last year. One arrive within a week, and the other took nearly three weeks.

Hi can you tell me how your xps is working out for you? Which model did u go for? I'm looking into buying one buy keep hearing so many horror stories about softwarw failure and coil whine Etc? But then again people who are satisfied don't review products as much as people who have something to complain about. I currently have the dell 7373 inspiron and really like it.

I have looked into this and personally I prefer the older model(9360) due to the following reasons:
1. longer battery life
2. more ports including the old usb port, the newer one doesn't have this it only has the type c faster port#

The main difference is that the newer version is a tiny bit lighter, has a better fan system which helps over all performance especially with the quad core CPU. There are also more colours available for the 9370.

Well, mate, you are talking about the Dell Inspiron 15 7577 laptop, and this deal is for a Dell Inspiron 13 7370 laptop.

Can you see the difference? I know lots of the words/characters are the same or almost the same...

The XPS 13 I bought went back. The trackpad was loose/rattling (particularly when doing 2 finger scrolling), and it's apparently a very common fault, on the 13 inch model. They could have repaired it, but I didn't want a "new" laptop repaired. They said they were not aware of such fault (hmm...), but collected the laptop for free the next day and gave a refund.

I ordered this instead, as the build quality is as good, having seen it in shops, and screen almost "infinity edge" (slim bezel like the XPS). The XPS 13 is very slighly smaller, and benefits from a QHD screen if you need one, but it's impacting battery life. Otherwise, this Inspiron model is very good too, and also benefits from a webcam properly positioned.

I also have an XPS 15 4K screen core i7 CPU and it has been flawless.

I wonder why some UK laptops would come from Eastern Europe. Maybe some faulty ones are getting sent there to be repaired, while the "open box" ones are from the UK. Regardless, shipping from Poland or Romania should only add a couple of days to the delivery, unless they have to change the keyboards to be UK-specific.

The may get sent out in batches, as opposed to individually. I think they have a production centre in Poland. No idea about Romania.
I ordered certified refurbished 5570 15.6” with i5-8250U, 1TB HDD & 8GB RAM for £325.
Because I won’t be around to accept delivery i entered a friend’s address for delivery but paid with my card and obviously my billing address.

Got a call asking for prof of delivery address as a fraud prevention method. They wouldn’t pr chess order until they get it. We’ve sent it but they haven’t confirmed they’re happy with it. So I suspect an even longer delivery time.

Strange, I have never had such issue with them, even when using a different delivery address.

UKMail have always been excellent for me.
The guy delivering around here has been the same for ages and he's really good at his job.
Anyone who ordered off here had their item dispatched yet
yes, I ordered mine on Friday 30th March and it was delivered a week later, on the 6th April. The delivery timescale quoted at the time of ordering was much longer.

How is the battery life. I bought the 2 in 1 version of this when it came out and I only got about 3 hours when new which quickly fell to about an hour.
