Seen a few people say this, but mods we really do need a DIY section! :-)

Just received this text message from Trade Point:

"TradePoint Mega Monday Deal! 15% off ALL Power Tools. Don't miss out, 11/11/2013 only. See instore for details.

Last time they did this all the Power Tools section was automatically reduced online by 15%. The product I wanted wasn't showing as in stock so I just rang up and ordered with discount over the phone and they had it sent from Screwfix I think.

Might be useful for someone who was intending to get something at Screwfix and get 15% off (mostly same prices I think).

(Trade only, but you sometimes find stores that will let you get a card)

Stock up on diamond discs too.

all power tools are diy only, not suitable for trade use. found that out after I unsuccessfully tried to return a useless sander....used for trade, therefore used improperly, and voided the warranty. will not buy again, no matter how good a bargain it may seem.

agree this is the worst place to take something back if its faulty, terrible customer services in store and on the phone!!!

Sorry, but I can't understand how a supposedly trade scheme can sell a power tool to someone who has to be trade only, then claim you cannot use it for trade? Unless you're buying some rubbish brand, but if it's the pro versions of makita etc then surely it's a trade tool. I'd be kicking up some **** if that was me.

anyone know if you get the 15% on there own brand mac tools aswell instore as I could get a present for the old man

I don't think Trade Point sell them - it'd be any tool within the Power Tools category on the site

http://www.trade-point.co.uk/power-tools/TP159333.cat

Or in their catalogue (I haven't got one to hand to double check though, sorry).

no thy are not in the trade book but didn't know if it would include other power tools not in the book

B n Q do not sell trade quality tools - same as Halfords. You will pay hundreds for cordless drills for site use - 4.0 Ah Dewalt and AEG.

Not at B n Q.
