Dead link
Not having much luck with the link. Is it a code?

"Your code can be used for a 15% reimbursement on qualifying purchases made via authorised Sonos retailers, and can be claimed here."

Authorized retailers
Codes are unique to each person so I wouldn't be posting them unless you want to lose yours
Doesn't work
Still dearer than January even with this off
If you are on their email list you should have gotten a unique code. With the discount on Amazon it brings the price to £381.65 so good deal I think...
Currys have £40 off the SUB, with 15% extra off that's very tempting...

It's less than a 2nd hand one on eBay goes for
Amazon good deals before the 15%...
The only benefit in this is if you are spending thousands for several speakers otherwise for 1 or 2 speakers not worth it
Only 3 items will be discounted...

It's still 15% off no matter how you carve it up.
Probably hurting since they raised their prices recently!

Still need a code though.

Are Amazon a participating retailer?
New hardware en route, I'd wait.
Looks like the Play 1 is £180 @ Amazon & Currys, so with 15% off this it's a £153 so decent price. Still more than I paid when I originally bought it last year though! 🙃

Any details / link about what's to come? Happy with my Play 1 not sure what I'd be missing out on (if it's been announced)

Their new privacy policy reports new software and hardware and they're playing with they're building an Alexa skill so I'm guessing it'll be like the Echo.
Damn didn't realise they had raised the prices so much. Bought two play 1s for 260 which included 50£ of Apple vouchers (which I sold on) in Ja.

I have these and a couple of play 3s, but a question, won't sonos sales be hit now considering other alternatives i.e. Amazon echo?

I do wonder how long the premium price will hold with very popular alternatives which probably has less soundquality but more functionality

Literally bought a refurbished PlayBar over the weekend for £529, managed to get some discount on. Using the 5x Nectar points and using some of my nectar points on the card. Getting it down to £506! With 12 months warranty However a brand new one with the discount from John Lewis (2 years warranty!) £560!

Sure mine is a bargain, but could have got a new one with more warranty

That's true. If that is the case I think I'll stick with a speaker rather than a listener

I've not bought any of the Alexa-enabled gear. Recently when working at a client address and finding their Dot devices interrupting mid conversation, it really put me off getting one for my own home. Although if the security services want to listen in to me telling the cat that it's not time for more food, it's their time they're wasting

I'm expecting updated Play 1 (with 2nd gen Play 5 styling) with built in microphone for Alexa integration.
Sonos when they came out was a great concept but now days for a lot less money you can Sync and automate speaker systems through various apps and companies for a lot less.

True, but you won't get the same quality product and sound.
There are better bluesound and nad are in on the act. If you really want sonos look st the ssav site for clearance or richer s as they will throw in 5 y guarantee . Suspect new Sonos will include high Def but for most people you won't hear the difference
Alexa also does multi room this week I read and sonos won't do dnla bluetooth or USB input that some other vendors offer . It's a competitive sector . I think sonos were also privately owned and there is pressure to go public.

Why did CameronMLewis's identical deal get deleted (posted an hour before this one)?
So is this invite only? I read it as if you weren't sent a code via email, you could still go and buy one from an authorised reseller and then claim back afterwards on the Sonos website

But when I goto the claim page to test how it works there is a mandatory field for a voucher code. Which indicates you can only claim if you have been sent a code!?
I have a code and won't be using it, PM me if someone wants it.
Update - code gone!

Can someone PM me the code please? Assuming not everyone who's received it would be using. Many thanks!
Gonna go John lewis. They have the play 5 at the same price as amazon with 2 years warranty. Plus the 15% off on top.

Play 1 doesn't need a refresh. It's the Play 3 that's by far the oldest design now.

I heard the Play 1 features a mic alright but is disabled at present, we'll see.

If anybody is questioning a SUB, of you have the means, BUY IT.

Agree it doesn't need a refresh - I think it still looks good even though the styling is based on the original Play 5. My expectation is based on a comment I read elsewhere from someone who is beta testing new hardware.

I do wonder about the Play 3, can't imagine it's selling nearly as well as the 1/5 and design wise it looks very old.

The Play 5 that has a disabled mic, don't think there's one in the Play 1.
My code is 15Y-5MBVCPLLLF if someone wants to use it
Don't forget, if RicherSounds is an option they come with a 6 year warranty.
