**OFFER GOES LIVE 10am FRIDAY**

Three are running an offer this weekend which should go live on the website at 10am on Friday 9th March 2007 and will also be available via telephone sales and instore. It's on their £15 per month tariffs, which are actually pretty good deals... they run on 18 month contracts and you will get the Motorola V3xx for FREE, instead of the £49.99 usually charged on these tariffs.

There are two £15 per month tariffs. Direct Texts offers 75 minutes & 600 texts each month. VideoTalk 500 offers 500 anytime, any network minutes per month.

Motorola RAZR V3xx is another new RAZR style 3G phone. Technically very similar to the V1100, the RAZR XX is a 3G flip phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera and HSDPA. It has 50 MB of internal memory, which can be upgraded.

I'm currently unsure of the state of QuidCo cashback with these tariffs, it keeps changing. I'm not exactly sure, but it appears to be £100 for the Direct Text tariff. You may wish to contact QuidCo regarding this as it's changed regularly lately.

As well as the generous Quidco cashback, its also possible to do this deal through the 'recommend a friend' option on the Three website.

This is at threestore.three.co.uk/raf…spx

...and offers you £30 Three credit to spend on anything you want, as well as your friend. All you have to do is go through the recommend a friend option, then enter your friends number (they have to be on 3 too) at the checkout. The friend will also get £30.

To do this through Quidco,
1) clear cookies,
2) log on to quidco
3) follow the link to the Three store
4) click on the 'recommend a friend' option (third toolbar from the top)
5) click on the 'lets go option option' then proceed as normal, add phone to basket,
6) go to checkout
7) enter friends 3 number when prompted.

If anyone needs a 3 number to use (i.e. if they don't know anyone on 3) then i will be more than happy to oblige through Private Messages, as sadly 3 refused to credit my £30 when i joined (think i must have typed the wrong number in. doh!).

This is a pretty damm good deal, and i've so far been impressed with the service and features of my SE k610i.

Thanks duck

Helpful for those with claimphobia ;-)

Just to let you know it's £70 cashback at the moment with Quidco & Three. Was £100 last month however but still a good deal!

Note that 3 also seem to be giving away free bluetooth headsets with their phones if you know the code! In the 3 shop, on the left of the page in the middle there is a button which says "got a question?" This loads up a dialogue page and if you say you are interested in getting a phone today then they gve you a code for a free bluetooth headset!!

3 also provide a free 512mb SD card fro every phone

Are you sure its only £70? I did it on tuesday and it came up as £100 with quidco?

benh, thats a shame I missed your offer i didnt spot the "recommend a friend" option...

Quidco is still saying £100 to me. Taking into account the £30 from recommend a friend, then this brings down the monthly cost to £7.77!

Not bad for 500 mins and a pretty decent phone!

Any one know what the 6233 is like please, also free on the £15 tariff?

The 6233 is apparantly pretty buggy from what I've heard with a few problems, but looking at the specs it seems a good phone...

£100 from Quidco. excludes Videotalk 500 tariff.

"£100 for a contract sale (on a per sale, not per phone basis) (excludes video talk 500 tariff) "

Apologies. I stand corrected.

That brings it down to £9.44 a month (based on £70 Quidco, £30 friend)

 Ok, thanks for that. I personally like the V3, its my OH that likes the 6233 as she already has the 6230. I'm tempted by this for both and I've got a neighbour on 3 so the 'recommend a friend' thing is open to us. Unfortunately the neighbour says 3 is the worst network shes ever been on and will change at the end of her contract! :w00t: Decisions, decisions..............:?

p.s. the £100 quidco does not apply to video talk 500 as stated above, but it doesn't mention the other £15 tariff direct text 675. Does that mean thats still the full £100?

spend 9 months ringing bombay getting them to add your credit to your bill.

i kid you not - i am still chasing this from last summer.

BTW the free Bluetooth headset you get if you chat online to a sales rep and order a phone is the Plantronics 340. Retails for around £15 online. They will give you a code if you ask.

Just click on 'GO TO DEAL' button on 1st post and about half way down on the left there is a picture of a very nice looking blonde lady with 'got a question?' as the title. Click on this and it will open a window, where a sales assistant chats to you online. There is a message on the page when you first open it that suggests they may not be able to chat about specific customer service problems, only sales - but you can try.

Ouch! I've actually found 3's customer service pretty good so far, but then so far (not sure how) i've managed to get through to a uk call centre.

In regards to service...I think it really depends on the area you live in. If you know your neighbour has 3, and has rubbish service then its probably not the right provider for you. On the other hand...in my house T-Mobile (and subsequently Virgin Mobile) has VERY poor signal, so the switch to 3 has seen vast improvements in service. Having said that it does occasionally 'drop' calls when switching between 2g and 3g networks (although i've found that geographical shifts can cause dropped calls to most networks).

Fyi.... 3 has achieved the highest 3G roll-out figures of any of the uk operators.

hi when i go to the three shop i get a error message saying that

Hi , can you repeat that, this time in english please, thankyou.

mate i was saying can u please help

just thought id add that carphone warehouse and phones4u in the highstreet were doing this offer, but no further cashback.

you could go have a look there as i think you could change contract after 12 months, meaning you get a newer phone after 12 months, and possibly even a better deal.

faisalali

mate i was saying can u please help

what is your problem and why do you keep repeating yourself ? there are people on this forum who are always willing to help provided they understand what you are trying to say :?

have u tried calling their customer service helpline ?

It seems to suggest on the website the offer is on til the 31st of March Duckmagicuk2. Hopefully mine will be delivered tomorrow

Nope, the phone will allegedly rise to a cost of £49.99 tonight I believe.

The tariff is supposedly only available until the end of the month, however they said that in Feb too...

Hi all . Picked my V3XX phone up this morning from post office, it came yesterday when they said they would deliver. The free stuff is here too, Plantronics explorer 340 bluetooth headset & Sandisk 512mb microSD card, nothing missing. Fingers crossed for £70 Quidco to go through now without a hitch and the £30 refer a friend credit to go on too. Thanks for the post!

The tariff was launched in February, offering customers 500 voice minutes, to drive footfall into 3's growing number of stores.A similar deal will be launched in June for £20 per month, but with a small text bundle included, along with a £28-per-month deal offering 750 minutes and 150 texts.3 is also offering some extravagant deals in a bid to retain customers. The network offered one customer free line rental for 17 months on an 18-month contract. 3 contacted the customer three months before his contract was due to expire, offering 500 minutes and 100 texts per month, for a total of £18 to be paid in the final month.A 3 spokesman said: 'As a business, you do a calculation looking at a customer's usage. You understand how much they are using and you can put together as good a proposition as you can for that particular customer. The other thing you have to think about is that you are not paying someone a commission to put that together.'Another customer was offered 750 minutes and 250 texts per month, with free line rental for the first 12 months, £4.45 for month 13 and £28 per month for the remainder of the 18-month contract. They were also offered a free Sony Ericsson K800i. 3 also offered this deal three months before the contract was due to expire. 'They are buying their customers direct,' one dealer told Mobile.© Copyright 2007 : Noble House Media Ltd
