Not bad if you don't mind Halfords, but they do a free einter check anyway …Not bad if you don't mind Halfords, but they do a free einter check anyway https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/halfords-free-winter-car-check-3324077 A twin pack of Duxback is £9.86 at Eutocarparts and 5 litres of antifreeze concentrate £8.38 delivered gsfcarparts.com/976aa0206?auto_apply_coupon=SHOP60&gclid=CjwKCAiAh5_uBRA5EiwASW3Iaicp9cuBkSrDPKOf3ZFIsV8_FsQpvyBm42tl1-SSNUld0LZYMBv1NRoCNZkQAvD_BwE for a DIY job. Never tried Duxback has anyone got favourable reports?

I totally agree with you.. however the duxback is mostly OOS at euparts and its sister company, it had one around me so bought it. But with engine coolant being changed you have to make sure you leave no air pockets. So if you are competent do it yourself. But if you have no idea where to start this is Good value (or so i thought)

I think it's just because it's Halfords.
Is duxback treatment any different from rain x which costs just a few quid?

Duxback lasts hell of a lot longer. I’d say from trying them both and I still use duxback it lasts about 5x longer, so rain x is a waste of cash long term. I get roughly 10k motorway miles before it needs re-applying.

i don’t let halfords apply it, they cut corners. first I wash the windscreen, then dry, then glass polish, then isopropyl (99% pure alcohol) wipe over, and finally apply duxback.

I’ll guarantee you halfords (speaking from experience) put it on and its blotchy, they just don’t do the full prep for maximum results.
