I luv Travelodge

cant wait will be booking very romantic lovely big beds !

All the ones i've stayed in have been complete dives, but I still book lol, a bargain is a bargain and once your asleep does it really matter?

I've always stayed in nice acceptable travelodge rooms. Up until the last one. I stayed for the first time in the manc central one, and it just smelt like actual sh1t. It was awful!

southend travel lodge has a vending machine that sells beer!

A girl invited me up to london and left it in my boat to decide when and I am loving this I had her think im going to be spending £100 to visit her ha!

YaY, need some.

Eww we've used the Manc central one loads of times as it's great for walking to / from gigs at the MEN and it's always been fine - hope yours was just a one off ! Our worst one ever was Burton-on-Trent - the beds were so bad I slept on the floor for 3 nights but other than that we've been pretty lucky - so far

Not a very exciting!

Normally love travelodge sales, got rooms in Edinburgh last year and Madrid this summer and also off to their Brighton one in a couple weeks. However due to the three week period in which you can stay, I'm not gonna get all excited. Still if you need some rooms for those dates, then brilliant. I may even see if they have some London rooms available, even though I do live there would be nice to just walk everywhere and not get on the tube, but its very doubtful that rooms in London would be available at this price anyway just sucks the sale doesn't cover a longer span

Just checked that out. What's it like staying in people's houses? Would they be annoyed if you went out on the lash and staggered home?

Stayed in a Travelodge recently. The place was an absolute dive. There were holes in the walls and exposed mains wires literally sticking out the socket above the sideboard in our room. You could actually see the copper wire poking out of the end of the flex! Told the girl at the reception and she wasn't even bothered so I took a photo of them and the manager gave us our money back for 3 nights stay. I think he was bricking it in case we took it further!

Stayed in most of these on business. Hate them, real dumps........Worth a tenner perhaps..

Thanks op

So much snobbery. A bed's a bed at the end of the day. -what's it matter what the room looks like when it's dark?

For info, i've stayed at a few now. Would recommend Tewkesbury, Scarborough, Stratford Upon Avon and Chester Delamere Street as these are modern and well positioned. Also York Central and Harrogate are ok as have great locations and are good value. Avoid Cheltenham as that one is not good..
Have booked the brand new one on Paignton seafront which looks great, and also Bracknell Central which gets great reviews (10 mins from legoland - see recent deal on HUKD for £15 parent/child offer)

Seemed to be quite a few 15 ones on their earlier already. Anyway grabbed one for an overnight work stay, seems silly to pay the full rate anyway.

I guess this sale has not been publicised as much as the others. Was too tired to stay up for the sale and still managed to get some £15 rooms. Website has not crash either :P

yea same, got a room on a saturday!! at heathrow central for £15... great discount

got 2 rooms in southampton on the 24th april for £15 per room

strangely everything else was really clean, apart from a stash of porn hidden under a folded blanket, and even they looked new, we had booked 2 rooms, the other didn't have them, so definitely wasn't a feature of the room lol shampoo, soap, pornography, sewing kit, shower cap...

grrrrrrrrr! I booked a room for 22.4 and 23.4 this past Monday and now they've gone down to £15! Can I do anything about this?

If you booked the flexible rate you can cancel / amend.
If you booked the saver rate then you're stuck with it.

Haha.

Its £15. People write these reviews then they have massively high expectations or if something goes wrong. How often do people write reviews when everything was as expected?
