Seems like a good deal?

Minium 2 month or 3 months for quidco.

This seems good. Would I be able to sign up for a 1 month contract and then cancel the direct debit and still get the £15 quidco?

thanks sammy108

I think you need to be registered for 40 days

So 2 months for Quidco?

Already been posted a while back, thats how I found out about it..

Orange used to offer a £15 per month SIM-only contract, with a rolling 30-day contract length, that included unlimited landline calls (Raccoon 15). Have a look at Orange site here.

Worked OK for me for a while until they seduced me with a new handset for which I had to commit to a 18-month contract, but still got the unlimited landline calls and pay £15 monthly, less 10% loyalty bonus/discount.

Might be a useful alternative if you ring mainly landlines and for the same monthly payment.

My local store was recently doing this deal at £10/m as a special. Worth looking out for that one coming around again.

Thanks, I think I will get this. My o2 sim only contract runs out in a month and this is a much better deal. I'll probably have to get my phone unlocked though :s

What's the fair usage limit on unlimited data?

Why would you think like that? Thats theft.

personally I'd go with the t-mobile deal I was offered as a new customer:

£15 for 300mins, 300 texts, unlimited internet and 1 booster of unlimited texts/unlimited t-mobile to t-mobile calls/unlimited landline calls

This was based on a Samsung phone which apparently has the unlimited internet as standard as it's always connected to the internet

Surelu this is better short-term?

SIM Only - 1 month contract

* £10 Tariff 1 Month Contract (250 minutes plus unlimited texts and 3 months unlimited data.)

Terms apply

Or even this one for short term:

GifGaff £7.50 goodybag giving 300min, and unlimited text/net. Promotional half price.

I've got this sim in my iPhone an does works treat but don't forget to change your mobile setting for the internet to work unfortunately you only seem to get GPRS with this contract not 3G which is ok for some I suppose

If you really only get GPRS and no 3G, that's rubbish. Can anyone else confirm this?

Is it true that Tesco Mobile piggy backs the O2 network?

Yep "Tesco Mobile is the easy way to talk and text for less because we make it simple to understand and easy to save. We've teamed up with O2 which means the Tesco Mobile network covers 99% of the UK population."

How about 3?

SIM £15
1 month contract
Plan detail
300 minutes
3000 texts
1GB internet
2000 Three-to-Three minutes
Free voicemail
Free Skype-to-Skype calls and messages
Free Windows Live Messenger (on most of our handsets)

Yes like Greywolf stated it's not 3G in my handset also.... but it does the trick and seems to be exceptional value... had mine now for just over a month all good so far

to Mr_deals

As tesco offer unlimited internet then Windows Live works if your handset supports it, I've not tried installing skype but as the internet connection always seems to be slow it probably not worth attempting.

Just depends what you want it for and who you calling, if you've loads of mates and family on 3 get that sim the good thing is that with these contracts you can chop and change as you see fit and as they keep getting cheaper seems we all quids in.

Does it really not give 3G? Does it say this anywhere on their website? That's pretty rubbish if it doesn't.

Also does anyone know if the unlimited txts include MMS picture messages?

First post so please go easy- been on this £15/ month tariff on my iphone for 3 months now, get 3G coverage no problem just like before when i was with O2 (£35pm.). Also i have not had any data charges even though i use the web / email quite a lot so i can heartily recommend this deal.

Medal?

I have my wife's old Samsung phone, being used on a PAYG basis on TMobile

Would this offer be OK as it seems pretty cheap ?

thankyou

Not bad but not as good as my deal.
I'm with O2 and get 600 mins, unlimited texts, web bolt on and wifi bolt on for £15 a month with £100 Topcashback. Ok it's a 12 month contract but after cashback I'm only playing £80 across the course of the year so basically no risk involved whatsoever.

Worth noting that although they use the O2 network their pricing is slightly different.

e.g.

on O2 if you send an MMS it counts as 3 texts from your inclusive credit, on Tesco it costs 25p.

on O2 when abroad and texting a UK number it counts as 3 texts from your inclusive credit, on Tesco it costs 20p.

EDIT: The inclusive texts are for 2009 O2 contracts only!!

Yes and as I have just found out at renewal, you can only continue on this type of contract WITHOUT a loyalty discount which makes them very expensive - so I have left o2.

I loved the text abroad and mms being part of my bundle, but wasn't it 4 to 1? Maybe it cost o2 too much - all new contracts with the unlimited texts do not feature this any more as you sort of said.

No it doesn't include MMS picture messages, they're 25p each.

they offered me the same last week when I renewed though I had to play hard-ball to get it but without the wifi bolt on, though my web bolton (3G) is unlimited.

MMS is now charged at 20p or 25p (cant remember) no longer counts as 4 text messages.

Oh and they sent me a free bag of sweets! That was nice of them

I have this SIM and I DO GET 3G data. Not so much of it as when using a 3 SIM - but I guess that is down to the O2 network.

The only issue I had was when I ported in my Orange number - I lost data. It took about a week and numerous calls to CS before I finally got it back by 'reprovisioning'. The website account is rubbish but better than Orange who couldn't fix it for me in 6 years. Tesco have a peculiar way of registering data use.

All in all I don't regret moving from Orange after 15 years. They were really brilliant but the service has decayed appallingly since Hans Spaak left. The others are now as good as better and generally cheaper.

Can someone tell me where about in the ordering process i would need to enter my pac?
If i need to call up after i receive my sim card, wouldnt that invalidate the cashback?
