I asked the sales man how long the offer is on for, he told me 'most likely untill we sold out'.

They had quite a lot in stock. I dont know if it is a store specific deal. I got mines from West Croydon, on the high street.

Maybe you are the one being thick as the op does not state it is instore only. It seems it is but the ops info is unclear.

Anyway, I had one of these drives, well worth avoiding, just look on Seagates forum. Mine failed after a mere 1hr 20mins. The failure rate on these is a joke.

Apologies. I have edited my post. It didn't quote brilly who is the person my thick comment was referring to, not you. I don't know why it did that.

no perhaps i am not the one being thick. op does not state instore only but obviously bought it instore. net price isn't the same so obviously it can be inferred that its instore only.
not sure how i am thick for your failure to click quote correctly.

why bother deleting my comment which was a genuine question btw but leave the quotes? what an utterly pointless act.
just want to explain the situation as seems that people dont quite get it.

OP posted a deal he bought from a physical store
ISJ66 posted the online price with no explanation.
my question asks if
1) are you merely pointing out the online price by way of comparison and showing the instore price is good - ie being helpful
2) are you saying 'no, the price is 99.99 as shown online' - ie being thick
now option 2 happens quite alot on this forum so for the benefit of others i thought id clarify this issue but perhaps i too wasn't as clear as i could have been.

btw no matter my 'behaviour' i dont expect prissy pms in my inbox so keep them to yourself.

DaDon, could you tell me what drive is inside?

great

7200RPM according to the site. However reviews on play talk of a "clicking noise" and lots are dying

Don't think it's worth the risk...

IF these are acknowledged as faulty, it would explain the low price - clas ohlson can buy them cheap and sell them at a low price while maintaining a decent margin...

Sorry guys, it appears this hard drive breaks down very easily. The general consensus on the internet is that within a few days, you will hear a clicking noise, which means the hard drive is dead.

Also, I showed my 1.5 Tb hard drive to a mate who works at PC World, he told me that those hard drives get returned often due to breaking down!

Cheers for the info
