£1.50 6-inch Chicken Sub @ Subway with Cheese & Toasted or £3 for foot-long

Get a 6-inch chicken sub from Subway for just £1.50

I don't know if this deal is local or national. It 100% is available from Farnborough, Princess Meads Shopping Centre. I had never heard of it before. But just ask them for "a £1.50 sub" and they give you a chicken sub. Please let me know if any other Subway's do this.

You can get a foot-long for £3 as well.

Everything else is the same, get to choose whatever bread you like and any salad and sauce.

Cheese and toasted for no extra cost if you want it.

This is not advertised as a special offer at all. So no idea if it will continue forever. See receipt below for proof.

£1.50 for a 6-inch is just perfect for lunch time and is basically half price than normal.

Available in Brighton, subway just off London road towards sainsburys and the one on west street - Thanks to dhsampson

And available in Bolton - Thanks to coldsubzero

I measured mine and was disappointed to find that the sandwich was only 1 1/2" long, but to be fair it was nearly 7" wide.

Subways stores are franchises and it's up to the managers discretion as to what deals are on. I highly doubt this is nationwide...

True, but others in the near area might have the same idea or be owned by the same person

Will go in my local tomorrow to ask but yeah, I won't be getting my hopes up as I imagine it's just going to be the OPs local.

Awaiting reports

It was on at a Portsmouth franchise...

The most digusting sandwiches on the planet. Stale dry bread with grim filling. No thanks.

200000 for franchise.

They bake it instore, daily. I've watched them take it out of the oven. How is that stale? Talk sense.

Also, the cost is 80-240k. http://www.subway.co.uk/business/franchise/financial_information.aspx.
I have no idea where you get a fraction of the stuff you post on this site.

Anyone else tried yet?

last time I went I ordered the Steak & Cheese 6 incher. They put 1 scoop of the "steak" meat on and carefully placed two of the smallest and thinnest slices of "cheese" you have ever seen. I politely asked if I could have a bit extra as I wouldn't be requiring any salad on it. They said "yes, that will cost extra". After trying to tell them that the salad cost more than the cheese and thus I was doing them a favour they still refused to put any extra on. The standard of the ingredients has significantly gone downhill IMO.

This might seem petty but when they pride themselves on making it your sandwich your way surely this isn't the best way to treat your customers.

I will never go back and will be much happier for it...

Is it happening in Glasgow? I've got Subways on every corner of the street in the city centre so lots of choice. I sometimes get a Sub and a coffee if I'm feeling too lazy to cook (my waistline isn't thanking me for the Steak And Cheese/onion relish indulgences).

No I paid £3 or whatever it cost for a Steak and Cheese sub. I don't think two tiny triangles was adequate for the money they charged so I asked for what i was due.

not in the Noth West

And you'd get the same response in McDonald's if you asked for extra fries because you didn't want any lettuce in your burger. The salad is factored into the cost of the sandwich - extra cheese isn't. If you didn't want the product you ordered then you shouldn't have ordered it.

They do make it the way you want, according to a formula. You can't simply have extra meat or cheese because you don't want any salad. Once you start bending the rules for one customer everything quickly falls apart and customers start demanding more and more.

It's a win-win situation - you avoid supporting a business you don't like; they get rid of a customer they don't like.

And to add to what jonastaylor is saying, which I generally agree with; I'd say the ingredients have remained pretty constant over a good many year from what I can tell.

As far as fast food goes, it's my choice; from around 250 calories for a filling sandwich with drink for £3 (or a lot more calories, but trying to lose weight, low is good right now) beats 'most all other options. Even if I've got calories to spare, it'd still be my choice most of the time.

wow!, that price is so much better than the £7 i paid for my sandwich a few weeks ago

this offer still on?,im off tomorow and popping into farnborough(**** hole that it is)...
