How about you give us the 50p instead of "charity"

There have been many of our standard bonuses this year already. This charity bonus is something a little bit different and totally separate from those bonuses you may have seen happen.

Also, while we will be donating 50p for each bonus, you will still gain £1.50 for making a purchase

Really hope this isn't the new norm?

Not tryna sound selfish but I much prefer the £2 than £1.50 with 50p going to charity , heat regardless
Heya, for this particular bonus, 50p from each money will go to The Money Charity. More info on why we've partnered up with them can be found on our blog

There are so many misery-guts on here, I even checked the date to make sure it was not an April Fool's Day whining session.

First up, if you have the money to spend to take advantage of this Bonus offer, you are most likely not skint.

Secondly, when you go shopping in a supermarket and they have an offer where something goes to charity and it is not your favourite charity, do you really go and complain to Customer Services and then shop elsewhere?

Thirdly and most importantly, at least as far as I am concerned, The Money Charity does an amazing job in teaching people how to make the best of the money they have each week - something that I feel should have been mainstream in schools for decades.

How do I know about The Money Charity is a good question and my answer is that I have been a fan and supporter of their work since 2008 when they used to be Credit Action.

If the misery-guts on here did their research rather than just moaning, I suspect there would be far fewer negative comments about offers like this. Personally, I am happy that TCB are doing this and I hope this methodology becomes their standard practice.

Would be nice if you won the £50 I think you deserve it.

Bought gift card at 00:10 and bonus already showing as pending they’re very quick unlike some others

TCB still not sorted out the order time issue.

Just ordered a Asda Gift Card, and the order states Time 00:11 ?

If your bonus doesn't track because of this please do pop me over a DM with your username and I'll ensure you don't miss out.

I will take a look into the wider tracking with TopGiftCard's to ensure they're tracking in time and if that is the case and it's not will get our team onto it to find out why their fixes to resolve this didn't work as expected.

@TopCashbackRep Hi I ordered £7 worth items from two different ebay sellers in single order but non of the sellers amount reached over £5. If we combined both eBay order it’s coming £7. But topcashback has tracked my ebay order as two different orders. Am I eligible to get £1.50 bonus. I’m really confused here. Thank you (edited)
Yup that's all ok. The bonus will take a little longer to track (normally seven days after the bonus ends) but we have ways of ensuring you don't miss out and getting this bonus in your account without the need for you reaching out

    Hot because free money!

@TopCashbackRep next time give me the £2 and I will donate any portion to the charity of my choice if I so wish. I have no confidence that you will be donating everyones 50p to a deserving charity.
At the moment, while there is the ability to payout some money to charity, currently there isn't the functionality to allow a full payout of member's choice in this way.

We have done over the years a few similar things to this where we match donations or give money to charity and where we can we will broadcast this after the offer to aid transparency.

At the core of our company is ethicacy, trust and fairness. Both of our founders, who are still in the company today would be having some very strong words if we didn't keep to the promise.

I don't mind as I donated £1 to Ukraine anyway as I'm never a bigger spender. £1 just to show my sadness for the Ukrainians.

    Replying to

I can't remember the actual percentage that I found out from my charity client, but I did a google search, it says UK charities in average take 60-70%, while some UK charities take as high as 87%.

Lol, love how everyone feels they are being robbed of 50p rather than gaining £1.50

    Replying to

Too right, TCB should give everyone nothing so there is no need for this debate here!

    Jeez, some of the comments
It's as if topcashback are stealing their Grannies life savings!

Stuff charity, I need to eat and pay energy bills
ironically, you may need charity to support you when you cannot eat or Pay bills
  13. Avatar
Ridiculous being forced to donate. Would rather have option to opt out

This is a bonus, completely different and separate to the normal ones you have seen and so donating is part and parcel of today's bonus.

    Best wishes,
  14. Avatar
Well done TCB great gesture for those complaining about not getting the 50p shame on you.
Of course you will be donating your card to the needy as well I presume
  15. Avatar
How can people complain that 50p goes to charity. You still get £1.50 of "free" money.
Agreed. As a business, that sort of entitled response would put me off doing similar promotions, with or without the charity donation. (edited)

Seems a great offer to me. These bonus ones are just that...a bonus. Essentially just knocks off £1.50 of my normal Asda shopping. 50p to charity is a nice gesture. Can't stand the moaners!!
Seems many think £2 bonuses are a God-given right.
Obviously not compulsory to participate, just an option. I wonder how many 'moaners' have taken the £1.50?

Equally, no-one has the right to decide who gives money to whatever charities. That is a personal choice, as is the choice to give at all.
  17. Avatar
Cold, it was £2 before, now they take off 50p to give it to an already highly paid charity manager
  18. Avatar
    Lots and lots of negativity.

But well done to TCB for this bonus, past bonuses and I'd gamble on future bonuses.

Thanks to the OP too for posting and worth setting alerts up for.

I happily used the bonus offer before I read some of the grouchy remarks on here . As usual any bonus is just that , a bonus on something I would have bought or was considering buying anyway . Topcashback didn’t have to add a bonus today , so I really don’t understand why anyone would begrudge them giving us £1.50 extra , and a charity 50p extra . 🤷🏻‍♀️

As it was I’ve been thinking about trying hello fresh, so today TCB had a 50% code I could use , with free delivery , plus £1.50 bonus , plus £8.50 extra cash back for shopping at hello fresh as a new cust , plus my AMEX cash back . Really can’t complain !
What did you get and how much was it? I’d been considering giving it ago and I’m pretty sure it’s on my Lloyds cash back as well
  20. Avatar
Well done TCB, a good initiative that helps both your members and a charity. Heat from me, and no complaints at all. Good stuff.
  21. Avatar
To whoever dropped a fiver outside my house this morning, please have some consideration.
If you force me to pick up your lost cash, at least make sure it's a tenner.
It will only be £9.50, not a tenner, 50p goes to the charity, sorry…
  22. Avatar
Effectively what TCB are saying is we'll give you £2 as usual, but then force you to give 50p of that to a charity which I suspect very few would choose to give to.

TCB won't actually be giving them a penny, but the purchaser will.

On the other hand, you could look at it as £1.50 for two minutes work making the purchase. (edited)
If TCB won't be giving them a penny as you allude to then those that worry what charity it is won't have to worry. .lol...All this fuss is silly to me. Besides that you aren't Forced to take up the offer. (edited)

I can't see anything in the t&cs about any money going to any charity.
I'll certainly feed this back to the team if you feel it's worth including in the terms. That said, I can certainly promise you, we'll be donating 50p for each bonus to the Money Charity.

  24. Avatar
Not sure I can be bothered for £1.50. I know it is only 50p less than the standard offer, but the standard offer is already low enough.

    Will mull over it.

    Replying to

this offer is becoming less and less attractive as the giftcard selection for the useful retailers are no longer available. m&s, sainsburys have now gone. if asda goes, which it did for a long time, then i think this bonus will not be very attractive unless you were buying something anyway.

i know it is a bonus and free money but you have to buy something to get it, and there will be a cut off point where buying something to get £1.50 will not be a great return, if you are simply buying something to take advantage of this bonus.
  25. Avatar
It hasn't even been three weeks since the last £2 promotion and people are moaning over 50p going to charity! Free money yet people still complain... What is this site doing to people? Have a look at yourselves. (edited)
  26. Avatar
Yikes. There's a lot of self-entitled people on here!

Quidco team sleeping but expecting them to come up with a identical offer too….and make a mess of it

Heat added, not as good as £2 but still appreciated given the rising costs of living. Plus it does go to charity so it is not bad. (edited)
