Still nothing when I switched in october.
Just applying to switch and up pops
"We're sorry but if you've had cashback for switching to us since October 2017 you won't get it again."
"Please note - If you have previously taken part in any cashback offer to switch to Royal Bank (including from NatWest) since October 2017, you won't be eligible for this offer. Offer can be withdrawn at any time."
RBS closed my bank account last month without warning or reason. Scum of the earth that mob
Doesn't seem to require detect debits to be transferred
Oh shame did NatWest last month...don't think there many left to try now.
I have a 'dummy' current account just sitting there, ready and waiting to switch, BUT nowhere to switch to!
Here's the Terms & Conditions:-

Who’s eligible for the offer? New and existing Royal Bank of Scotland plc (‘RBS’) customers are eligible for this offer if you meet the following conditions: 1. New customers must: (a) apply for a Select, Reward, Reward Silver, Reward Platinum or Reward Black account (‘eligible current account’) via rbs.co.uk, or through a branch, between 28 January 2019 and 8 March 2019. As part of that application, you must transfer a non-RBS current account to your new eligible current account (which includes closing your non-RBS current account and moving all your payment instructions to your eligible current account) using the Current Account Switch Service; and (b) after your eligible current account is opened, you must also: (i) deposit £1,500 into your eligible current account; and (ii) log into our digital or mobile banking service, before 12 April 2019. 2. Existing customers who already have an RBS Select, Reward, Select Silver, Reward Silver, Select Platinum, Reward Platinum, Black or Reward Black account (‘eligible current account’) opened prior to 28 January 2019, must: (a) transfer a non-RBS current account to your existing eligible current account (which includes closing your non-RBS current account and moving all your payment instructions to your eligible current account) using the Current Account Switch Service online or through a branch; (b) deposit £1,500 into your eligible account; and (c) log into our digital or mobile banking service, before 12 April 2019. What is the offer? If you meet the conditions for this offer, we’ll pay £150 into your eligible current account by 10 May 2019, but please note: • If you close your eligible current account before this date, then the £150 won’t be paid. • You won’t be eligible for this offer if you’ve already taken advantage of a cash offer from RBS and/or National Westminster Bank Plc (NW) between October 2017 and December 2018 for (i) opening a new current account and switching to RBS/NW or (ii) upgrading your existing RBS/NW current account. • Joint accounts will only be eligible for one payment. • You can only benefit from this offer once and we can withdraw it at any time. What other conditions do you need to know? You’ll be bound by Your Current Account Terms. This document contains all the terms applicable to your eligible current account, including any regular criteria you need to meet in order to keep your account and use the account benefits.
I guess okay if you switch but never actually use the account. The Royal Bank of Scotland has been ranked as one of the worst UK financial institutions - by its own customers. It was just above last place held by M&S Bank.
Thanks been looking for somewhere to switch to. Heat from me
I am taking switching bonus from NatWest now. I have one more account lying around, will I be eligible for RBS bonus?
No, unfortunately. RBS and NatWest are part of the same group.
so if i change my rewards account to this i presume i lose the rewards feature?

Maybe better just opening another account?
My NatWest switch is due to pay up any day, so unfortunately not eligible. Wonder if my OH will tolerate me moving their account yet again, mmmm
I’ve been waiting for a switch offer as don’t quite make the hsbc eligibility. Unsure whether to go for it seeing as most the comments are slating them 😄

Likewise. Not only my local branch, but also the next 4 closest branches. The nearest one to me now is a complete camel ride. I'm self employed and often get paid by cheque, so it's very inconvenient.

To be honest, I've no real reason to bank with them anymore - I've been with them for 16 years. I guess I'll just start looking for another bank.
RBS and Natwest are horrible to bank with in my opinion. Awful service, always pushing you to take out more loans/credit (when you don't need it!) and then refusing to help when you need it. Also the app is awful!

Now with Halifax and Monzo and couldn't be happier, even if RBS offered me 2k I would never switch back.

Previously switched a joint account to Natwest. Do u think i might get the bonus switching a sole account to RBS? Do they link their joint/customer records in their DB?

You can pay in cheques via Lloyds banking app. Assume others offer the same. Might be easier for you
You will need huge balls and lots of patience to move to RBS, I was a Business and personal customer of them for many years and they must be the most useless bank in the UK! Customer service is very poor possibly the worst of all the companies i deal with! How Fred the Shred wasn't locked up beats me.
Make your own mind up after doing your research but don't say you weren't warned!
I will never deal with them ever again.
Not as smooth as the Halifax one, no mention of switching at the end of the application so I guess I have to wait for the details to come in then do it.

Pay in at the Post Office
We're sorry to tell you that after completing our checks you haven't met the criteria to complete the Personal Current Account application. So on this occasion your Personal Current Account application has been unsuccessful. More details of our decision will arrive by post shortly.

Lol, denied a current account. What the hell, RBS?

Sorry, but I didn't then follow it through. I was only trying to switch for the cash incentive. As soon as it popped up that I'd not get this, I lost interest.
