15.4" Laptop Skin £2 @ Tesco

You could have fun buying this...

Located in the 'special purchase' carboard boxes Tesco often have on the end of aisles near the front of the store, it's a zipped laptop 'skin' suitable for up to 15.4" screens made of the usual stretchy neoprene.

The shelf edge ticket suggests a choice of black or blue, but the store I was in only had black. Shelf ticket showed a price of £3 although the swing tag on the product clearly shows it as £2

Predictably, it came up at £3 on the self-scan checkout thus necessitating much touchscreen prodding from the nearest operative to achieve the correct price.

Worth the effort though, cheapest 'skin' I've seen and seems reasonably good quality.

will look out for one in my local tesco. my wife could do with one for her ibook.

Your missing out.

Buy it at full price £3 and then take it customer services and tell them is misspriced and get double the difference.

So it would cost £1

I know its petty, but letting Tesco get away with miss prices (often in their favour) is much worse.

Double the difference still works. Under the old rules (|R&R) you got a full refund and got to keep the item

Hot. Anyone think it'll fit a 15" Macbook Pro? Need one as the sleeve in my Eastpak roller backpack doesn't fit, annoyingly.

Depends on the actual size of the Macbook. I have tried it with both a 15.4" Acer and a 15.4" Gateway and both are 'snug' fits (the material is quite stretchy). The Acer's dimensions are 36 x 26.5 x 14 (cm) so if the Mac is no bigger you should be fine.

I went for a look and I think these will be fine to protect against scratches, but they are snug fitting, thin and the zip doesn't open all the way, so I think I'll go with the cheap ones on dx instead.

I complained at Tesco about this on Saturday (got it for £1). Might have a look in later, if it still comes up as £3 I'll report to trading standards; lots of people will no doubt buy it and pay £3 without realising which is effectively fraud IMO.

It fits the Macbook Pro perfectly. Got two, one each for me and the missus.

They scanned correctly at £2 each at the self-service checkout for me.

Guess they have probably corrected the price then  Its a good deal at £2 (even better at £1!), its a good idea to have one of these skins on your laptop before putting it in a case or backpack.

Reckon there will be quite a few people who have paid £3 without realising though - if anyone else has bought one, check your receipt to make sure!

Really wouldn't say its petty at all. Imagine how many of these Tesco's sell up and down the country - if everytime they are taking a pound off people without them realising, thats a lot of money in total. Its a pretty sad state of affairs when you have to check your receipts to make sure supermarkets haven't lied about the price they are going to charge you, but thats the reality these days!

These must be store specific, none in Stevenage...
