Expired as this is now reduced even further:

REDUCED FURTHER ON CLEARANCE TO £13.99!

Seems to be good stock too - available at all 10 of my local Argos stores when posted.

I have various Guild (Argos, used to be Homebase too) and Worx branded tools which take this 18v Li-ion battery fitment and I know it is also compatible with Erbauer, Titan and I think JCB and Wickes own brand, probably others too (please check). Note: Worx call theirs 20v max or something but it's the same battery - that's marketing guff as voltage is not precise on these rechargeables.

Now £6 off the Guild branded 1.5Ah at Argos so just £13.99, which is the lowest I've ever seen this size. They claim to use high quality branded cells (Samsung) and my experience supports this as they have outlasted my Ryobi ones which cost far more. 2 year guarantee!

Always worth having a spare, charged battery on hand when you're doing a job and at this price it's worth grabbing a couple. 1.5Ah is great on a drill as it's light and drills are not too demanding. With something like a circular saw you'd be better with a larger capacity battery though this one will do the job for a few minutes if necessary.

If you know for sure any other brands which take this battery please post for the benefit of others.

Any idea where I'd get a cheap charger for Titan batteries? My charger died but still have 2 working batteries.

If they're the same fitting as these (should be) I may have a spare new one. PM me and I'll have a look.
Do we know if it works for LIDL Parkside tools?

Do we know if it works for LIDL Parkside tools?

I haven't put them side by side but I don't think it's compatible. However, in another thread someone did say that the Parkside ones vary (probably different suppliers) so there's a chance that some will be the same. Need to check carefully though as minor differences would make them incompatible.
Re Parkside/Einhell compatibility: Argos site is down but I got a picture of the Guild 18v/1.5Ah battery from ebay, not sure if the prongs are "long" enough?:
33176969-DK9Ax.jpgThe Einhell Power X-Change Tool I have (ie, compatible with some Parkside tools) works happily with a "Fartools" (French brand often found on Amazon) battery I recently bought. The Fartools 18V/1.5Ah here:
33176969-e3X1k.jpgThe Far Tools battery has the same four prongs/slots, whatever they're called. Noticed some Draper Pro batteries look as though they'd fit too.
33176969-3pZKS.jpgAlso see an Ozito that looks as though it could fit Einhell/Parkside, etc - Aussie brand? Can see it on an dot au website)

Ozito is the Bunnings/Homebase own brand. They no longer sell Guild, which went to Argos/Sainsbury's.

I understood it fits some Wickes drills (haven't tried it myself) - maybe they have different suppliers?

But are all Wickes fittings the same? Older ones perhaps? An apparently knowledgeable poster previously included Wickes in a list of compatible fittings. Haven't been able to try them myself.
