They are just BTs budget brand now, but who can tell.BT and Plusnet have once again topped Ofcom's quarterly whinge list for the most complained about broadband providers - its not a surprise, they use the same business and marketing model.By the way - I'm with PlusNet. I've had a few days where there was no internet connection, which is a day more than the 4 years I was with Virgin, but given the cost have no real complaints.

People on 3 whinge about Customer Services and move to EE

EE customers whinge and move to 3

VM customers whinge and move to Plusnet

Plusnet customers whinge and go to ID...and then back to Plusnet again

All the above have a brief flirtation with Giff Gaff

Vodafone customers whinge and....stay with Vodafone

Tesco Mobile customers think they are 02 Customers so reasonably content!

Basically, virtually every mobile customer hates their providers and keep moving around.

I ve switched from giffgaff and that was best thing I ve done recently. 4G is much faster and connection issues gone. But it could depends on area. In general I m very happy with plusnet. For 10 £ 5Gb of data is great. The only letdown is no app to check how much data or minutes left. You need to do it online but it s not end of world. Keep in mind that if you want to leave you need to give them 30 days notice not like with giffgaff switching just off. Hope thats help.

You can ask them to send you text notifications about allowances. You can choose daily, weekly or monthly. That's what I did. there's no mention of it anywhere on their website but if you ask an agent they will do it for you

I'm already a customer of theirs so it would be a faff ordering another card, migrating the number, probably paying for an extra month than I needed to and also having the extra credit searches on my file.

Try calling again sounds like the agent didn't know what they are doing. I've found their customer service excellent

International calls £1 per minute minimum. I'd need a separate sim for that.

That may be so with the telephone, internet side of things, but they actually use the EE network for mobile:

BT own EE, so still technically correct.

Does data roll over? Can't find anything about it.

Brilliant deal, I'm currently on the same deal from when it was last available. It's excellent and the roam like at home worked seamlessly over the summer.

No.

If they do that then that really is good. There are so many stupid inflexible companies which treat customers as fools (IDmobile) to be ripped off at every opportunity. This is good to know

Unless you get a good VM retention deal all their offers are for 12 month contracts, the best deals are those which you can move around with especially at the moment when there is so much movement on good cheap plans.

id is O2 init

Argh, I just signed up for a £6/month SIM this morning with the same data.

I got a despatch email this evening.

Does.anyone know if it's too late to cancel and re order the £5/month deal?

Not bad, although one thing to be aware of, for those changing from Three, is that the US isn't a Roam Like at Home destination, while it is a Feel At Home one...

You can call them & cancel & re-order

I'm on plusnet... Cheap but lacks extras (and I'm sure the signal is strangled often). I'd pay extra for WiFi calling but they don't want to offer that.

I just got 4GB and 1500mins from Virgin for £4.

Same here. It says you can cancel within 2 weeks, I don't see why it would be a problem if the sim hasn't been used yet. I'll get hold of customer service tomorrow.

That's awesome. Are you an existing customer or you called them up as new customer?

Do not go to Plusnet. These deals are great, super cheap for what you get... BUT their coverage is horrible. I had to leave the house to make calls when I was with them. Ended up having to switch away from them. No point having all those minutes and data when you can't do anything with it.
Edited by: "pcorkin" 16th Oct

When will the price increase or allowance reduce?

I need more data (so on the £10) but wife very happy with this deal.
