Showing online at SemiChem as £2.49 for 4 + 4 free. - semichem.co.uk/sea…ell

Also I'd never heard of SemiChem before now. Did a store search & the nearest to me is 271 miles away. I could get them delivered but it would cost me a fair bit!

So for anyone else who lives a fair way from SemiChem that's not such a hot deal.

Good post mate, Thanks

Read that a lot of fake duracell batteries are doing the rounds in scotland (which can explode spectacularly), so be wary of cheap prices from around there

some one always finds some thing wrong lol voted hot !!

Nahhh - sorry

Kodak Max AA's are £4.99 for 24 and for many uses have a better capacity

Disposable batteries can never be considered a bargain:

1 Disposable battery at 31.3p = 1 charge and use.
1 Rechargable battery at £1 = 1000 charges and use.

I'd always buy Duracell over these.

erm, and 20p to charge?

Wha???

Hmmm. I think you may have your facts wrong there (forgive me if you were being sarcastic...)

Approximate energy required to charge an average AA rechargable = approx 0.02Kw/h

Approx cost per kw/h in UK = 7p.

So.....

You could charge 50 Batteries for 7p.

Slightly better value

For rechargables, I never go anywhere other than www.7dayshop.com - free postage at the moment too! Good chargers available there as well...

I agree

I don't use anything other than rechargeable nowadays

More fool you. These come out on top for endurance in an independent review of loads of AA alkaline's. M&S did well too
