Can someone explain how this a good deal? It's only 80gb total for £24

You can get 2tb USB WD Harddrive for £57 new hotukdeals.com/dea…657

I do not think this is a good value. I suggest people do some research and buy a USB 3 stick with good read/write speeds, if they want one.

But this is a good deal for someone like me looking for several cheap sticks to fill with music for the car (radio has usb) Christmas tunes in one of course!

It's good for those who want to boot to different OS, file recovery programs or want to keep images of various windows installs for repair. Personally I would go for them if I didn't already have about 7 sticks already loaded up.

This brand - they are not very good. You would be better off getting these Integral ones for the same price amazon.co.uk/Int…ECM

They also sell 3 and 4 pack versions of these on amazon. Its still double the price of when they were selling the 10-pack for 25#.

You can buy 5x USB 3.0 16GB thumb drives for approx £30 from amazon... or however many you need at £5.96 a pop... they are usually lower than this price though, around £5.60 IIRC. I would not buy USB 2.0 drives unless you only want them for installation drives, where you write the .iso to disk and then just read from it after that. Can't imagine using a USB 2 drive for anything else as it'd be too slow.

OK, I can't say for anyone, but this is the reason I'm buying these:
- you can load a lot of proper diagnostic software on that, backup drivers for your OS, couple of live-USB with your favourite operating systems, to move large project between work and home PC, and so on.

It is useful -- people who are buying little cars don't need huge family sedans
