nice
good work there op.

bet there will be someone on with a problem!
hope there will be some deals to greece for end of june... but so far hot hot hot
the only issue with this deal is the location, puerto de la cruz is in the north of the island. The majority of tourists frequent the south; los cristianos, las americas, adeje ect. Unless of course you prefer a more Spanish culture.
Thank-you op. Having the flight time info is great. Have been looking for something like this, most travel sites seem to want you to ring to get this info.

Keep up the good work & ignore the inevitable trolls this site seems to have attracted.
you can always get a car and drive down to the south, when I went we got a car and drove up north. car rental was cheap and easy! and TF1 is easy to drive on!
North side of the island is more likely to be Cloudy and humid. Still beautiful place to visit if you go inland to the mountains. Hire a car though the trips are annoying...

Seems like a bonus to me.
Good price, what about cockroach infestation?
If concerned about weather check out a sight called wundergroung. Here you can reasearch historic weather conditions.

Good find = hot from me;)

isn't that the point??!! I have never understood why people spend hard earned cash to go and be with annoying holidaying Brits sitting in Linekers bar watching Eastenders looking forward to the Sunday Roast.
puerto dela cruz is lovely, a much nicer place to stay than the concrete world of los americas.........great deal wish i could get some time off work

Agreed, but it much colder on the North side.
I go a lot. Cruz is colder and cloudier, amazing place, more for culture vultures. Stick to the South if you wanna relax in the Sun.
There are 10's of thousands of HOtels in Tenerife you dont have to go to his one guys - in fact if you stick to the South then your Transfer will be cheaper too bringing your holiday down in price
These are good deals OP - nice one.
I am fortunate in having been to both Puerto de la Cruz in the North and a lovely little place just outside Los Cristianos in the South (can't remember the exact name, but it translated to something like 'Savage Coast' or 'Savage Bay' oO ).
Both have their own merits but, as has already been said, the North is a fair bit cooler and the beaches are mainly rocky rather than sandy. Comments re car hire are also true - driving (if you can, of course) is easy and cheaper than transfers and organised trips. On both occasions I went we were able to tour the whole island in a day, and it is beautiful (especially up in the North side mountains).

Thanks for all the work you've put into posting holidays recently Stacey. School holidays for me and usually book online through Thomson etc. You've brought the likes of travel republic, onthebeach and alpharooms etc to my attention, so thanks as the prices are better than the main agents with more flexibility also. Realise that some of these are subsidiaries of the bigger agents but just wanted some general feedback from anyone that's used them please.

I have used Travel Republic and Alpha rooms both many times and my family have also, to date, we are yet to experience any problem. If I ever post a deal using a company I have not used before I will make that clear and ask other members to give their views. I have not used on the beach sorry xx

Check out my summer holidays thread, naturally the price is much higher at the moment but I will keep adding to it as and when i stumble across something xxx

Thanks for that! Will definately keep an eye on it, expect high prices but any savings are great! Thanks also for the feedback, did search the net but you always get complaints about everywhere if you look so just trying to get the hukders opinions

I have used 'Onthebeach' with no problems, but it seems some have problems.

As a rule with these cheap ones you know your flight is ok as you print the info out. As for the accommodation I always email them (hotel) a few days before to confirm I have a booking. This takes out any risk out of it.

You will probably see me saying the same thing throughout all my posts but I tend to take reviews with a pinch of salt, we have been to some terribly rated places and had a fab time, yet we have been to some supposidly fab places and had an awful time different strokes for different folks I say. One thing i do find is the more you pay the higher your expectations, go for the cheapest you can find and then you cant go wrong
Thanks Gavin yeah that was one of the things featured in reviews, no room when you arrived, i'd have a fit! Good advice about emailing.

I agree Stacey, one mans meat and all that! Our priorities have changed over the years, had some amazing holidays over the years but now its a short flight and stuff to keep our 6 year old entertained that makes a holiday for us, very different but we generally feel a holiday is what you make it and we've never had a disaster yet!

sounds like we are after pretty much the same thing :

Obviously dont ignore the reviews but when I see one that says

"the room was just awful the furniture so dated" ... i prefer an old dressing table than i do an extra £100 on the bill lol xx
Lol, too true! Like clean but other than that I'm not fussed, we generally only use the room to sleep anyway! Have booked Lapland for Christmas this year already, so looking to save as much as possible on our summer holiday. Will def keep any eye on your threads!

Puerto De La Cruz is a lovely Spanish town, the north of the island is cooler but much greener with lush banana plantations and great little villages up the slopes of the volcano Mount Teide. I've been there three times and love it, not really a place for stags or hen parties though. Not a boring place, just a bit more more upmarket and cultural than the south. In the town is the largest lido in the Canaries - the semi-natural Lido Martianez and just outside of town is Loro Parque, one of the biggest attractions of the Canary Islands. The killer whale & sea lion shows there are as good as SeaWorld and the freezing Antarctica themed 'Penguin Planet' is the largest penguinariam in the world. Plus you are a short-ish drive (or public bus ride) from the cable car station of the third highest volcano in the world, Mount Teide, which is also the highest point in the Atlantic Ocean. I think Playa De La Cruz is a superb location for a great holiday. If you want guaranteed sun and just want to go clubbing this isn't the place for you (although it does have beaches and clubs, just not as hot or as intense as the south.)
yes i was surprised how green it was over that side when we went in october xx
crap deal...need link to exact holiday. can't reproduce it!!!!!!
acks

lol you cant put a link in for the deal you need to put your dates in and search - preferably the dates i have included in my initial post! then you drop down to lowest first as it defaults to recommended.

Its not crap just because you cant work out how to use the very simple site.

The deal is deffo still available i just checked:
This is the price without transfers and cases if you wish to make your own way over - add £30 for each case :Dx

The North is much nicer than the South, I first went to Puerto de la Cruz in 1974 when it was a tax free port.
The South is like an arid quarry.
i booked last week to tenerife . better hotel deals to be had rather than travel republic. last check co uk was £50 less on most hotels. however i got a great deal on compostella golf hotel on the monarch website which is cosmos .
