Fantastic price! Delivery is a little slow though - if anyone wants faster delivery, there are a few other listings on there for the same fan. They cost a little extra but delivery is a few days faster.

There's also a black version here: ebay.co.uk/itm…387

Does mummy not give you enough?
looks identical to the ones i have had from b&q, both dead in less than a year.
As Niles would say, “it... oscillates”
Nice. Could do with a big, airy fan at the minute...

HOT!
Ordered the black. Thank you
Collected 2 from screwfix today for £1 more - so can use them straight away! Go me
Always wonder what everyone did with the ones from last year.
This looks like the screwfix one, it’s so plasticy..... as you move it it feels like it will crack, I got 2 today, one is vibrating like mad, it’s ever a warped fan blade or the motor... going back... the other one is very quiet.
or just pop down my local electrical shop and pick on up for £15
15 in tesco

I am a very selfish person, I don't wish to share and only want to enjoy what others can offer me.

That being said, did get a Dyson one yesterday from AO which has £30 off, so was only £309.99. But I am sure most people wouldn't find that deal.
Bought a rubbish one from band q for £19,avoid at all costs.
I've got an oscillating fan from last year, but it's stopped oscillating. :/
In a previous thread another user commented to the effect "do yourself a favour and buy yourself a Duronic fan rather than something cheaper".

I bought this (or what looks to be something almost identical) and a Duronic fan (for £18 on their website) and, in short, that other user was right.

Better quality, more sturdy and more powerful fan. I've since bought a second. Just thought I'd mention for anyone weighing up what to buy.

This “short summer” thing is so dated now and no longer valid.
It’s actually 2 months, and will get warmer and warmer every year.(due to global warming specially in Europe).
a fan is nothing,it’s barely effective in mild days, best for air circulation only.
an air conditioner is what people need in summer, that actually cools down air not just blowing same hot air around like a fan.
Screwfix are still selling one for £14.99 with free click and collect within an hour so you are guaranteed to get it the same day

Agreed, but which AC to get?
and as per usual everyone waits for a heatwave before ordering fans.

I agree ac is more effective but it’s also orders of magnitude more expensive and much more costly to run. A fan, whilst it doesn’t cool the air, cools us more than without as the moving air evaporates sweat faster. For me I can’t justify the expense of installing ac for the <5 days a year it will be truly valuable, the rest of the summer a fan is adequate.

You can argue whether a proper split AC is worth the cost or not in this country (£1200 minimum including installation) but a portable unit will cost just £200-£300 and worth every single penny in these hot humid days.a fan is pretty much useless and no comparison really.
ac means cool air like a fridge.not just some air blowing around.

the cost of electricity is also not that much..maybe £1 or £1.5 quid extra a day if used 8-10 hours.
end of the day for every convenience and pleasure in life you have to pay.
